They're good for medium to high frequency noises, but only so-so on medium-low to low noises. So depending on the noise signature of your computer, they might not be that great.

The best solution for high-pitched frequencies is to sell them on eBay.

HAHAHAHAHA. One of the common uses for these earplugs is cheap ear protection at firing ranges. If I actually owned a gun, lived well outside the city and weren't paranoid about ricochet, I might consider purchasing that drive.
