It seems that new heat sink/fan combinations are coming out every week for the High End, High Heat CPU's. While AMD recommends the Thermaltake CL-P0075 (K450) Heat Sink/Fan Combo for its FX-55, Thermalright (XP120) and Zalman are two other brands that come to mind.
For cooling the FX-55 CPU, what is considered the best combination of quiet and cool technology at present?
Thanks

I'm going to trade in my FX-53 for a FX-55 and slap a Zalman 7700 Cu on it and put it on silent mode.

It may fit the motherboard but that does not mean it will fit in your case - the photos I have seen show the heat sink hanging over the edge of the mb by quite a ways so it may bump into your PSU....

I had no trouble installing one in a Sonata Case. I don't remember how close it was to the PSU, but the fan clips were probably the closest.
