Hello Team:

Hey! I just noticed that I am now on the Top 20 Producers list!! I'm number 19:

Code: Select all

team rank PPD! total points
44 NeilBlanchard 572 86,841
:P  :o  8)

...of course, finishing two 600 pointers in one day (on two machines) helps a LOT!!

You can run, but you can't hide Neil. Once this pally gets quiet enough for 24/7....

Just got passed for the first time since I joined the Team (and the Fold) a month and a half ago. Chtudor zoomed past at 2000PPD: what's a mere mortal supposed to do against that :?: And now teknerd is up to no good either...
I'm actually surprized it didn't happen earlier, given I only have two machines :D

You guys have been at this longer then I, I'm just trying to make up for it. Trying to stem the tide that is presenting itself from the Dutch Power Cows and all.

I think chtudor is just trying to keep his house warm without having to actually turn on a furnace.

I've got 2 machines in my room, a Northwood P4 3.06 and a P-Mobile 1.0GHz Laptop and if I leave the door closed the temp shoots from 21 to 27 degrees.

Fair enough.....

I've been doing this for ~13months now, your about to overtake me in a mere 19 days

Your gain on me is 1814 points PER DAY !!! ... 8)

I'd say your 'making up for it' allright.

The only person not on your overtake list is TRC-13... 8) ... and to put things in perspective... he's pulling away from me at 5800+ PPD !!!!!!!!!!!! (~ my monthly input   )

Well done Everyone... Keep stoking those fires to maintain steam pressure. 8)

Only three machines at home folding. A P4 3.6, a P42.6, and a P43.2 laptop. the 3.6 is watercooled and the other two are in the closet so I don't hear/feel the heat.

But I've got 5 quads, 4 duals, and 4 singles of various linux flavors spinning in the Data Center.

Once the second processor for my old dell precision shows up I'll add that to the mix.

You're aiming high. And it shows!!! As wooglin said elsewhere: Power to ya!

And to everyone else of course!!!
You guys are making a wonderful effort, and we have some headroom now to deal with KWSN properly

Hello:

Beyonder & I have a tight race going: there is only 51 points between us (I'm behind), and we each have *exactly* the same daily average of 464 points! Wow!

Who's gonna make it to the big 100K mark first? :P

And yes, the Dutch Power Cows (who we *blew* by a few months back) have turned things around, and they are gaining on us fast! Currently they are going to do it in 46 days! Come on team! We need some old inactive members to come back into the Fold, and some new ones to join and keep on Folding!

Man, if you have too many more of those 900 point days, it's going to be a short race...:D

I'm back! (again (for awhile))

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... s=&u=34693

Been funking about with my main system (XP-M o/c to 2.2ghz), but its up and going again to keep my little P3-566 company. Might even manage to get my 1700XP going again. If I don't first smash the durn thing with a hammer in frustration.

Also back again. With more computers! Three p4s, 2.4-2.6, two XP2200s, one dual P3-800, one A64 2800, one P-M 7something, and one celeron 1.8. Maybe more to come as I set up a bunch of thin clients to practice on.

Thanks...The one thing that bothers me is that a couple of them are LOUD. Oh well. Maybe when I have the money to embark on a silencing quest...

Pete
Weeeell, the loud ones are the dual-p3 and the P4 2.4.

The p3 is a server with a SCSI drive. The IDE interfaces on the board don't even work. So that's not going to get MUCH quieter, unless I go diskless (which I *could*, since it's not actually serving anything at the moment). I wanted to get some practice with diskless stations anyway. Hmm. And it'll need a new power supply. Or maybe just a new fan in the current one. Hmmm. And I could 5 or 7 volt the CPU fans...Hmmmm...All I'd REALLY have to buy is the fan... :D

The p4, on the other hand, is a screamer. Not much to do there, though, because it's a laptop and I have it running flat-out 24/7 (I ended up with it when I already had the P-M for myself). Unless...Hmmm...No! BAD! I will NOT rip apart the laptop and put a fan onto the hot bits

Seems I'm getting the silencing fever again. Eesh.

Finally!

After a very slow but pretty steady climb I can be proud of just breaking the 40k points barrier and actually made it up to the top 100 folder list for SPCR!

I'm happy, even though just one of my four folding machines is running 24/7 (my work computer) ... they still contribute about 300 points per day on average. :)

I expect to pass 10k points today, and I have produced 2.5% of the team's points in the past 7 days.
