If I had to pick three of my LEAST favorite R+ songs, Du Hast would almost definitely be one of them. It's a song that doesn't showcase the band's talent at all, and it is unfortunate that that is their most famous song in the U.S., becuase most people don't take them seriously over here because of it.
The other two would probably be Herzeleid and Eifersucht, because they're both pretty boring.

Coldplay - X&Y
'nice', not blown away. One of the many bands on a originality downhill slope but perhaps I'm asking too much from these bands! Some of the pre-popular demos (Easy to please for instance) are some of the best pieces of music on my Spinpoint, now its too 'perfect' and 'subdued'..

So far this morning:
The Clash - Give 'em Enough Rope
Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out
Sleater-Kinney - The Woods
Mary Timony - Ex Hex
Oh yeah, and a little NPR Morning Edition for my edification.

I love the Messiah, but have great difficulty with the lyrics. For years as a child I thought that the Messiah began with "Come for tea, my people"! It then went on to the later tea-related chorus of "For we like cheese"! (Hope you can work out the real lyrics
)
Anyway, right now I'm listening to something that Ralf Hutter would probably like - medieval music from Spanish South America...

Hehe! I'm only sixteen, but I appreciate classical music, as I was brought up in a house where classical music was the only music. I can understand your dillema with the lyrics. However, it is all down to which version you listen to - the one conducted by John Gardiner with the Montiverdi choir and the English Baroque Soloists is probably the best in terms of clarity.
