Anyone know of a source for the Scythe SCNJ-1000 Ninja?

The Scythe Ninja seems to be sold out.... pretty much everywhere. Newegg's sold out, PriceGrabber's never heard of it, Pricewatch only gives Newegg, and Froogle links to a few places, all of which are sold out, and a few eBay links. Anyone know where to get these?

He just ordered it.

I don't know if it comes with thermal compound or not, but I'll let you know when it gets here... I've still got a bunch left over from my SI-97, so I'll just use that, or have him get some Arctic Silver.

It turns out it's on back order at Best Byte, and they were nice enough to wait until after it was ordered for any kind of notification.

I've found three places that carry it, and claim to have it in-stock as of now:

http://www.coolerguys.com/840556035572.html
http://www.pctoys.com/840556035572.html
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/ ... ts_id=3169

I know nothing about any of these sites though. Anybody have experience with any of them?

I got mine from Performance PCs, no problems, shipped to Canada.

The Ninja does come with thermal compound, packaged in a small plastic packet. It did seem as though there wasn't much in there compared to other packets I have received with heatsinks in the past. Of course, the small amount it does come with will force some people to use it sparingly and perhaps avoid using too much. There looked to be enough in the packet to use with a large-heatspreader-type CPU such as an Athlon64 939 or P4. I bought my Ninja on SVC.com the day before they went out of stock.

That may turn out to be a mistake. Did you read my post about the back order?

Anyway, even though the status of the order still says Back Order, it also says it has been shipped, and even gives a tracking number. However, my roommate got USPS shipping, and Best Byte apparently didn't bother to get shipment tracking.

Yes, my roommate should have done the same, but apparently does not care if his stuff actually arrives or not.
