They make noise, too.

Can anyone name some cheap fanless cards with dual monitor outputs? It's for office use only. Thanks.

Thanks, though I found ASUS V9400 GEFORCE4 MX 4000 is available for under $50 Canadian.

This is the cheapest you can get. I'd be shocked if you can find anything cheaper:

16MB Matrox Millennium G450 Dual Head AGP4x

It's $6.99.

Found a cd$14 price for the G450 in Canada, cd$28 after shipping and tax, but the only dealer that sells it is disreputable.

Anyway, Asus V9400-X/TD at slightly over cd$30 is cheaper than the V9400. But it seems to have incompatibility problems.

Now looking at a Powercolor Radeon 7000 at cd$44. Doesn't seem to have problems.

You can't really get better than a G450 for image quality at this price. The passive heatsink on mine barely gets warm. I bought mine second hand for $25; the guy who sold it to me should still have some, I think.

It won't do much for your latest 3D game or HDTV movie but G4xx is still voted best CRT computer source by displaymate ...

(Is there a retailer for G450 (16mb) in Canada other than T****D*****? I read some rather bad reviews about them.)

Maybe try the second market ...

I don't know how it is in Canada, but here around in Europe, Matrox products tend to be active on it.
You can get them for as little as 10€ ...
