Do "hotties" really overclock better? EDIT: I found Mats post from april 18th which explains some things about this chip:
According to this document my chip has a TDP of 21.9 o_OHot running, can do over 3 GHz.
How to find out the thermal profile:
1 - Find the CPU in this document, A64 = page 30, FX = 56, X2 = 91.
2 - The thermal profile is a letter (row 5 if present).
3 - You find the corresponding themal profile on page 10 for A64, FX = 51, X2 = 86.
Opteron here, with the corresponding pages 25, and 10 - 11.
I just replaced an 89W X2 4400+ with this 175. It runs 2500 MHz at 1.35v as opposed to 1.425v for the X2.
