xFx 7600GT Fatal1ty edition

Post by cyberspyder » Sun Dec 31, 2006 8:02 pm

Frankly, I think this is some gay marketing BS. Enough of the stupid Fatal1ty name already, he isn't God. Jeez. They're also incorporating the "Silent but Deadly" (ROFL  ) heatpipe cooling on it (like the 7950GT). Anyways, here's the release articles and a picture.

What is XFX thinking? I totally prefer their armored space dog box art.

Too bad they didn't put HDCP on it...

NICE! And XFX are much easier to locate than Gigabyte. The clock speeds are 14% higher than default too.

Anyone have a clue what power connection it uses? A comment at Newegg said it does not use 6-pin PCIe.

It gets its power from the mobo, it does not need a separate connector.

Sparkle has a 7600GT that uses the same heatpipe cooler, but none of the lame Fatality branding. http://www.sparkle.com.tw/News/news_760 ... cp_en.html

I've spent some time with Fatality (we used to travel in the same circles), but I would _NEVER_ buy anything with his name or face on it. :)

I'm impressed. Not only is it the fastest 7600GT, it is passive

Anyone know if this will fit in a SOLO case with an ultra-90 cpu cooler?
