Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

thin mATX case like silverstone lc-19?

Post by charonme » Fri May 25, 2007 4:30 am

Hi, I'm planning to buy silverstone lc-19, but I'd like to check if anybody knows about a similar but cheaper case. I saw plenty of 10cm cases, I'm looking for thinner ones. I already have a slim dvd rw prepared :)

The LC-19 has a builtin fanless 120W dc/dc PSU and comes with an external ac/dc adapter. If a cheaper case won't have that kind of PSU, I'll get one of the pico psu-s.

Hiper have one that's only 53mm high. You obviously need to use a low profile HSF, but they accept standard uATX boards. You are limited to one AGP or PCIe slot via a riser (I believe only AGP riser is supplied with it - PCIe can be bought seperately). Power supply is 200W.

I'm not sure about prices where you are, but they are generally about half the price of Silverstone cases here in the UK.
