But what's happening to miker/mjrusso45? A while back he mentioned he didn't know why his production is dropping. Has the mystery been solved? Has Zhentar hijacked your machines and assimilated it into his farm? :-)
Well our building here got flooded this weekend and we have had lots of PC's shut down and sitting up on desks, etc. Production should resume over the next week once everything dries out.

Lol wrah, I've got Neil and others to worry about the team, and they're doing the job just fine!

And besides, I've got 7.8% of the points in the last 24 hours, last night it was 10%, so I me doing well = the team doing well :)

Same here, it's not counting all my WU's at the moment. :x

oh, and btw... the real reason I don't comment much on our team ranking is that its so boring. Its just always a constant growth line much steeper than those around us....

Aside from KWSN there's been nothing interesting at all.....

As for my WUs, I have no idea whether or not they're being counted :)

Not *all* GROMACS are good...

Post by NeilBlanchard » Wed Jul 23, 2003 8:19 am

Hello:

I've got two GROMACS units on my two fast machines:

one is a 54.6 pointer that will take ~19 hours 15 minutes,

and the other is a 29.4 point unit -- that will take over 25 hours 13 minutes!

ewww.... I don't watch my units quite so closely, but when I first put KDfold on my computer, my laptop was taking like 15 mins a frame on a 400 frame WU :(

At least it was nice when the points finally came in.

Check out this link. http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=10711 If only we could "borrow" this machines "idle" clock cycles for our effort.

Over 2000 Opteron 800s... assuming 100 points per day per CPU, it'll take about 55 days to catch up to HardOCP's current level. And since they'll continue producing 65000 points a day during that 55 days... the result of the linear equation is left as an exercise to the reader :)

The 100 points per CPU value is pulled right out of thin air, in case anyone's wondering. Absolutely nothing to back it up.

Overclockers Australia will overtake HardOCP on Sep 15 as things stand currently. Anyone reading HardOCP's boards to see their reaction?

Well, I estimate I'm getting 3,000 points a week from 36 gigaflops, probably closer to 30 right now, and they've got 40 teraflops... we'll say 3 million points a week with that thing, probably even higher.

We'd pass [H]ardOCP in less than a month with that.

Hell, with that power they could start a new team and be top 15 in a week.

We've moved up to #37!

Post by NeilBlanchard » Tue Aug 05, 2003 3:13 pm

We've hit #37! Wow.

:D

All those "Orange", "Yellow", "Green", and the numerous "White" (White) folders are really crankin' 'em out! We're near a record level for out team -- if we can only get a few more active members! Hint, hint...

Well I just got the P4 2.8c up and running yesterday and it's already pumped out 2 WU for me. It's nice to be able to contribute with something that can average more than 10 points per day. Hopefully the little extra bit will help the climb up.

Don't bet on it just yet Zhentar.

In case you haven't noticed my production has started to pick back up again. Hopefully I'll hold you off until we both pass dago, then I can stay in the top 10.

I had noticed.... but I doubt you'll last that long. I'm scheduled to overtake you tomorrow... you haven't picked up enough to hold me off for long.

Arrg. I didn't realise how close you were.

<Sound of Rusty furiously borging away>

Speaking of which, I've written a little all-in-one borging utility, if anyone is interested. It's currently setup for win2K, but I could tweak it to fit whatever is needed.

I think firedaemon/console install is easy enough......

maybe you should try just borging computers that you have permission to do so? then you don't have to worry about admin access....
