Corsair HX520 able to handle my setup?

Post by laziboi » Wed Aug 29, 2007 2:49 am

Hi, this is my next setup and im wondering if i should get the HX520 or 620 version.

Intel CORE 2 Q6600 G0 (looking to OC 3.2Ghz)
2GB (2x1GB) Kingston 667
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P motherboard
(2x) Western Digital 320Gb 7200RPM 16Mb SATA2
(2x) Seagate 250GB 7200RPM 16Mb SATA2
(2x) Pioneer DVR-212D SATA DVD Re-Writer
Antec P180B with all 5 fans turned on
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme w/ Scythe S-flex 1600rpm
graphics will be a X19050 then upgrading to ATI 2950pro.

Edit: im going to run this system 24/7.

Corsair has no problem's powering that. I just have a question, where do you need 2 re-writing DVD-rom's?

well the Corsair cables have 2x or 3x SATA power, no harm having dual SATA writers, not as if it'll add to wire clutter :D

The point here is that you probably don't need 2 DVDRW drives.
