Is this power supply powerful enough?
Hey,
I'm getting a new system and would like to know whether my current power supply can run it without any problems. My current power supply is the Seasonic S12 430 W. My main concern is the video card but what do you guys think? This is the system I am getting:
- Thermaltake Kandalf (black) chassis $200

check it out, guy running very similar rig (E6600/8800GTX) on a 380W PSU:i'm still a little iffy tho because the video card is supposed to take up a lot of power.

your system probably will draw 250W max.

woo! that's me, or it was, I swapped it back for my 400W Zen. The Pico worked fine in the system, but I HAD to undervolt the cpu, hopefully 45nm will let me move back to it.thejamppa wrote:Most peoples take manufacturers overshot recomendations as fact. 430W seasonic is more than enough. We have a person in SPCR that runs X1950-series card with Pico PSU...
