New nvidia 7050 mini-itx board for 775

Post by frank2003 » Wed Oct 08, 2008 3:55 am

Just saw this board on the Egg:

Though it's based on last year's chipset but when paired with a Wolfdale CPU it will offer more power than the Intel's Atom based Little Falls board.

Note it has only VGA output and the LAN is only 100mbps. But for under $57 it's a great deal.

good find....very interesting even if it is outdated chipset. There is an DVI version of this board with the better 7100 chipset:

SPCR did a review of the 7050 version (NF610i) last month. No S3 support seemed to be the biggest problem. Hopefully this has been fixed, but newest BIOS seems to be from July so probably not :(

Pair this one with E7200 and you will drop atleast another 15watts idle power.
That makes it 30watts idle. Though I want the latest MB,waiting on for nvidia 9300 chipset to go with E7200, if it turns out to be power hungry, I may verywell go for the boards with 7100 chipset.
