Zalman VF2000, hybrid VGA CPU cooler

Post by Mats » Thu Jan 22, 2009 12:31 pm

They beat me to it, I've had ideas about using one of their VF coolers for a CPU, but never done it.
Since it's 45 mm high I guess you will lose two slots next to the video card.

might pick one up if it come out to give it a whirl
it won't have the best cooling performance but i still give Zalman props
they were one of the first in the transition to quieter coolers
their products since have been trounced by others
but it's still nice to see they're still about

It's a decent CPU cooler, but it's too high for a GPU.
I wonder how much better it is than the VF1000.

So I'll lose 3 slots when I have to invariably to a fan swap?

The price of silence...

I'm looking for reviews, but this is still the only one I've seen so far.

Any chance SPCR will test it?
