1240g! Holy cow, that's a lot of mass.

Thought I'd add this link to a French review:

http://www.cowcotland.com/articles/486- ... suree.html (Google Translate).

In summary, on a i7 920 at 3.2Ghz, the DH-14 in either dual or single fan configurations beats out a NH-U12P with a single NH-P12 fan and a Megahalems with a single NH-P12 fan at 5v/7v/9v/12v.

The weights are getting really silly. That's almost 1.5 kg (3.30 lb)

It can't be that one would need to hang a 1.5 kg metal mass on a filigrane motherboard just to cool a CPU.

Engineers should come up with new cooling technologies.

Finally something consistently bests the reigning champ IFX-14 at all tested flow speed in the Xbitlabs test:

This looks like a very good cooler, sans the weight.

EDIT:

NH-D14 vs Thermalright True
http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews ... hd14/4.htm

vs. Megahalems Rev B & Xigmatek models
http://www.pureoverclock.com/review.php?id=870&page=6

vs Orochi, zipang 2, Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme, Mugen 2, etc - using various non-stock fans
http://www.computerbase.de/artikel/hard ... kuehler/5/

vs. Danamics LMX (first loss for NH-D14)
http://www.clunk.org.uk/reviews/danamic ... age-6.html

It is huge and heavy, but seems like a solid cooler, regardless of the fans / speed used.
