Oh and another here from Jetway, NF9C-2600 1.6 GHz dual core Intel Atom N2600 (Cedar Trail) fanless

Love to see SPCR or someone getting some of these Thin ITX boards and comparing them for power efficiency and other features :)

We've been waiting for the new Atom boards for so long that I've stopped trying to guess when they'll become available.
Some stores indeed say they've got the Jetways stocked but they're expensive and Jetway's track record for efficency isn't that great.
I've seen shipping dates at the end of the week for Intel boards but they may slip again...

It seems Intel is having trouble with the drivers so you might possibly not get fully functional drivers at first if you rush to buy one of these boards.

I am trying to get my hands on DN2800MT , but still waiting in line for boards to show up. As soon as I get this mobo I try to post some power figures.

Actually I am testing different power bricks for DH61AG . More Info to follow.

Edit . Quick test done.

Intel states that this board can take 19V +- 10 % , so I checked that . All test performed using 230V current and crappy power meter

Intel DH61AG board 2x1GB generic ram ,Intel mSATA SSD 40GB, Broadcom half-mini-PCIE WIFI card, 35W low-profile Intel HSF.

Results: Idle , 1080p playback , LinX

10 years old hp c8246a : 19V 3.16A 60W : 15-16W , 19-20W , 50-51W
Qoltec HPH006 (may be sold under different names in USA) 18.5V 4.9A 90W : 15W , 19-21W , 52-53W
FSP065-RAB 19V 3.42A 65W : 15W , 18-19W , 49-50W
Dell PA-3E 19.5V 4.62A : 16W , 19-21W , 50-53W

Conclusion : All bricks performed almost the same . But FSP looked most stable and dell brick carries worst price/performance ratio (new unit cost about $60 here in Poland while Qoltec can be bought for $18)
If anybody wants to shave some numbers , try to find MeanWell GS60 or GS90 bricks . These are industrial ac/dc adapters and will probably allow to decrease power usage by 2-3W

Last conclusion , my private undervolted G6950 with 4GB RAM and 2,5 inch 7200 HDD FSP PICO idles at 30W , and I thought that was "green".

Thanks to http://www.get-solid.pl for providing bricks and mainboard.

From a retailer so take this with a grain of salt...

That is not over . On Tuesday or Wedsday, I am receiving new Celeron G460 (1.8GHz 1 core/2 threads) and will see the power figures then.If anyone is interested, I can post some performance tests. After reading logicsupply's info about DN2800MT, one thing comes to my mind: 30% faster than very slow is still slow. I had D945GSEJT with Broadcom HD decoder (newer version) and it was pathetic...

Me too, so mine was swiftly relegated to a fileserver, but I expect the N2800 should feel snappier as it is dual-core, will be ok for a light-use office PC. DH61AG is very energy efficient, especially at idle, I wonder how it might compare to say the Wibtek AMD Hudson board or the Via VX900 board?

Heh, I went the other way. :) My D945GSEJT was first a fileserver, now used for emulators and a Broadcom chip is on the way. First I got the newer version but XBMC have problems with that one so now I've got an older version coming. Why is D945GSEJT not adequate for this task? To slow?

edit: I can now answer my own question. No, D945GSEJT and Broadcom bcm70012 is not suited for an HTPC. 1080p playback is choppy. Will try to overclock if it's possible. Well, it was worth a try. :)

tramall,

I would be very interested to see the test results (power usage) of the new Celeron G460 with the Intel DH61AG. :D

Thank You.

This UK vendor stocks a power adaptor for the DH61AG, and says:
Most UK sites only sell 19.5V Laptop AC adapters and a 19.5V adapter can damage the components.
Any truth in that? It would mean the Dell PA-3E 19.5V is not the best choice...

The manual says +19V DC +/- 10% so it should be fine.
