Solo II + Seasonic Fanless 460W 80+ Platinum

Post by Jordan » Sun Jul 28, 2013 10:58 am

Just replaced my P180 and dead Phantom 500 with a Solo II and Seasonic Fanless 460W 80+ Platinum.

Rest of spec: Sapphire HD 7750 Ultimate, i5 2500K, Noctua NH-U12P, G-Skill 8GB Ripjaws and 250GB Samsung 840 non-Pro (no mech HDDs). Mobo thermal control brings the rear Antec fan down right down - I have nothing to measure this with but based on past experience I'd est. around 500RPM - until temps exceed ~60C+, when it spins up.

Very happy with this case + PSU combo and would recommend it to anyone, although it's probably my least special build yet as everything is as-sold. No modding, hacking or customisation for the first time ever despite being by far the most powerful PC of mine yet. PC silencing is way too easy these days (if you're not a hardcore gamer) :P
