Nice article!
It's a shame the SFX PSU offering is so meager (or non existent) outside the US Else it would be a great option for replacing my current gaming system (Antec Solo-II).

Thanks, been looking forward to this review. Disappointing to see some marks against the fit and finish.
And I wish it were even smaller. Valve's Steam Machine beta was considerably smaller -- though no external optical drive and no space for a 3.5" drive, which I don't need.

I'm still considering this case though -- nothing else on the market like it.

Finally, great that you review the Raven Z, I have been looking forward to this. It is my next mini-itx gaming case! Strong cooling performance and small size
Re: SilverStone RVZ01: Mini Raven Case
Would the horizontal orientation perform better with bigger rubber feet, to give the intakes more breathing room? The included round rubber feet didn't elevate the case much, making it more difficult for both the Scythe fan and the power supply to draw cool air into the case.

Re: SilverStone RVZ01: Mini Raven Case
SilverStone had revised the fan and fan speed in the power supply used.
In the Q&A on the product page they say the two versions can differentiated by a sticker on the outside of the box.
Which version of the power supply was used for this build, can we tell?

I wish they would make a sleek minimalist fortress version. A nice clean aluminum version of this would make a perfect HTPC/Steambox. This one is too gaudy for the wife though.

Having an all aluminum exterior would cost quite a bit more though, but if you can accept having "aluminum look-alike" type of styling, the ML07 is a good alternative:deadlockedworld wrote:I wish they would make a sleep minimalist fortress version. I just saw this today. I am excited for the ML07 (I currently have an ML03 under my TV ... and need to get a full size card in there for my Steambox build!!) I would pay basically anything for rounded aluminum.

I think this is coming - they showed off the FTZ01 recently, which has an aluminium body. There's also mention of the ML08, although I cannot track down much information.deadlockedworld wrote:I wish they would make a sleek minimalist fortress version. I am curious about the choice of the Scythe Samurai ZZ as the cooler - will a Scythe Big Shuriken 2 rev. b not fit, seeing as in your review this performed better?
