Post by pcgamer » Sat May 15, 2004 7:24 am

I just bought a SLK3700AMB and i was wondering what kind of moding would make this a better case.
i want to do all the modding I need to before I put the comp together.

1) Cut out the fan grills.

2) Enjoy.

Yeah definitely cut out stock fan grills. You can replace them with standard wire ones if you want.

A PSU duct of some kind would be good.

As would a CPU one.

Maybe change the HDD mounting grommets to better ones such as the EAR ones.

Maybe add sound dampening foam.

I removed my 120mm grills, removed the 92mm fan from the PSU and closed the hole. Opened up the rear slots on the PSU and made a very simple cardboard PSU duct (work in progress / proff of concept)

The PSU never goes above 1500rpm (starts at around 1300) And the air leaving it is pleasantly cool-ish.
