Unveiled at CES 2024, the RTX 4080 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super promise a huge upgrade in GPU fidelity. The future of gaming graphics is releasing in January, with NVIDIA releasing both the 4080 Super and the 4070 Ti Super within a handful of days of one another!

RTX 4080 Super vs RTX 4070 Ti Super: Specifications Breakdown
There are some core similarities between this new batch of 40-series GPUs. All of them employ DLSS 3.5: a deep-learning AI system for real-time ray tracing and graphical improvements. Along with specialized Tensor Cores, this has the potential to revolutionize graphical performance at even the highest echelon of PC gaming and even VR.
Both the 4080 Super and 4070 Ti Super possess the AD103 processor, a next-generation graphics component that ensures a PC with these GPUs will be able to run all modern releases with ease. Similarly, both cards utilize 16GB of GDDR6X virtual memory, for immersive visuals and accelerated performance.
Things begin to diverge after that, however. The 4080 Super possesses a staggering 10,240 CUDA Cores, 500 more than the base 4080 card and just shy of 2,000 more than the 4070 Ti Super which has 8448. This makes the 4080 Super a performance powerhouse capable of 4K gaming.
However, all that power does take up more, well, power. The 4080 Super has a higher power draw, with a 320W TDP compared to the 4070 Ti Super’s 285W. NVIDIA still recommends a base 750W PSU for both, however the 4080 Super will leave little headroom for future upgrades – not that you should need any.
Price-wise, NVIDIA have done something interesting with both the 4070 Ti Super and the 4080 Super: both GPUs are priced comparatively to their non-super counterparts, with the 4080 Super currently being almost $200 cheaper than the base 4080 model. This is tremendous value for such a powerful GPU, but the 4070 Ti Super is $200 cheaper than that at $799. If you were awaiting the fallout of CES 2024 before investing in a new RTX GPU, NVIDIA have made it easy for you!
In Summary
For next-generation graphics at last-generation prices, the RTX 4080 Super seems almost too good to be true. With unrivaled performance at the top tier of gaming graphics, the 4080 Super is both well-priced and powerful.
Don’t discount the 4070 Ti Super, however. For an even more affordable GPU with the barest of specification downgrades, along with packing the same virtual memory and AI-powered processing, it is a close second-place to the 4080 Super!
