The ASUS ROG Ally keyboard controls can be applied to either the on-screen keyboard or an external peripheral you can attach to your device. As with any device worth its salt, keyboard macros and shortcuts can make your life that bit easier, so allow us to illuminate you on some of the best and easiest ones.

How do you open the keyboard on the ASUS ROG Ally?

The ASUS ROG Alloy OSK (on-screen keyboard) should appear as standard, however, if it doesn’t, all you need to do is hold down the M1 or M2 Macro buttons & press up on the D-pad. Alternatively, you can load the keyboard via the Command Centre, or using the keyboard button in the taskbar.

Can you connect a separate keyboard and mouse to the ASUS ROG Ally?

You can connect a separate mouse and keyboard to your ASUS ROG Ally via Bluetooth, which can be activated from within the Settings menu (as long as your keyboard and mouse are Bluetooth capable of course). Alternatively, you can buy yourself an ASUS ROG Ally docking station and connect multiple accessories (including external displays) to your portable device when you dock it.
