Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paradox Rift card list confirmed so far

What can we expect to see in the new Paradox Rifts set?

Table of Contents

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paradox Rift is set for a November 3rd release, and with it a plethora of new cards to suit any collector or avid player. But as with any set, you might be wondering if it’ll be worth investing in – usually the best way to see whether a set’s going to be good or not is seeing what cards you can expect to see within the set. And although Paradox Rift doesn’t have an officially released card list, we can make some educated guesses.

One thing that’ll help us is the way the TCG is exported to the West. The Pokemon TCG treats its Western and Japanese audiences differently, with Western audiences often getting an amalgam of Japanese sets. That’s what Paradox Rift is, it’s a mix of the unreleased Raging Surf and Ancient Roar & Future Flash. As a result, Paradox Rift will feature a collection of cards that both of the aforementioned sets will include.

Pokemon Paradox Rift Card List Prediction

With the general theme of Scarlet & Violet featuring the 9th generation of Pokemon, the base set will more than likely include a large number of Gen 9 Pokemon. But what made Scarlet & Violet stand out among the rest was its introduction of Terastallizing. This simple concept just gave Pokemon new typings, which changes their weaknesses, the strength of their moves, and general abilities.

As to be expected, Tera-Pokemon will be rare cards and come in a number of rarities – each of which will be their own price. Fans can expect to see a number of fan-favorite Tera Pokemon, but those that have been confirmed to make a Paradox Rift appearance are:

  • Gholdengo EX
  • Tera Water-type Garchomp EX
  • Roaring Moon ex
  • Sandy Shocks ex
  • Iron Valiant ex
  • Iron Hands ex
  • Mewtwo ex
  • Armarouge ex

A “Starter Set Terastal Mewtwo ex” and “Starter Set Terastal Skeledirge ex” will also release alongside the set, offering a number of themed cards suiting the Paradox Rift set.

Paradox Rift overview

The expansion will feature over 180 cards, featuring New Ancient and Future Pokémon. the set will contain type-shifted Tera Pokémon ex with a crystalline appearance, which includes the Garchomp ex listed above. Within the set will be more than 15 new Pokemon ex, 20 trading cards, and cards with special illustrations.

As more information is released, we’ll be sure to update accordingly but come September, we’ll have a better idea of what to expect.
