Lian Li is a well-known name in the PC enthusiast community, renowned for its high-quality PC cases. The brand’s main offering, the O11D, needs little introduction, taking the world by storm upon its release. At Computex 2023 we were introduced to the Lian Li O11 Vision, a new and improved version of the classic, bringing an uninterrupted view inside, along with some other updates inspired by the PCMR Reddit community. Both cases boast impressive features and aesthetics, but they cater to slightly different needs and preferences. In this article, we will compare the Lian Li O11 Vision and O11 Dynamic, highlighting the main differences.

O11 Vision vs O11D: Design & Aesthetics

When it comes to design and aesthetics, both the Lian Li O11 Vision and O11 Dynamic excel in their own ways. The O11 Vision has a sleek and futuristic look, featuring three full glass panels that showcase the internal components beautifully – and if your components are worth showing off, the glass display is absolutely worth it. Its mirrored finish adds a touch of elegance and sophistication. The case is available in black or white, allowing users to choose the one that matches their setup best.

On the other hand, the older O11 Dynamic features two sides featuring tempered glass – with a slim pillar keeping it all upright. The O11 Dynamic also comes in either black or white, but overall looks very traditional, despite being revolutionary when first released. As you can see the main difference between the two is the inclusion of the top glass panel and the elimination of the aluminium column

Size & Compatibility

In terms of size, the Lian Li O11 Vision and O11 Dynamic are quite similar. Both cases belong to the mid-tower ATX category, offering ample space for high-performance components. They can accommodate motherboards ranging from Mini-ITX to E-ATX, providing compatibility with a wide range of hardware configurations.

However, the O11 Vision has a slight edge when it comes to storage options. It can support up to six 2.5-inch drives and four 3.5-inch drives, making it an ideal choice for users who require a significant amount of storage space. The O11 Dynamic, on the other hand, can accommodate up to four 2.5-inch drives and two 3.5-inch drives, which should still be sufficient for most users.

Cooling & Airflow

Both the Lian Li O11 Vision and O11 Dynamic offer excellent cooling capabilities, thanks to their well-thought-out designs. The O11 Vision features a three-chamber design that separates the PSU, motherboard, and storage areas, optimizing airflow and reducing heat buildup. It supports up to 12 120mm or 9 140mm fans, ensuring efficient cooling for even the most demanding setups.

Similarly, the O11 Dynamic incorporates a dual-chamber design that separates the mainboard and the graphics card, improving heat dissipation. It can accommodate up to nine 120mm or eight 140mm fans, providing ample airflow options. Additionally, both cases offer multiple radiator mounting points, allowing users to integrate liquid cooling solutions for superior thermal performance. the main difference in the two is that the Vision can no longer house fans on the top panel, obviously.

Additional Features

Both the Lian Li O11 Vision and O11 Dynamic come with a range of additional features to enhance the overall user experience. They offer convenient cable management solutions, with ample routing space and tie-down points, ensuring a clean and organized build. Additionally, they include removable dust filters to keep the internals dust-free and easily accessible I/O ports for easy connectivity.

When it comes to pricing, the Lian Li O11 Vision is slightly more expensive compared to the O11 Dynamic – with a starting price point of around $140. The O11 Vision’s higher price can be attributed to its unique design and additional storage options. However, the price difference may not be significant enough to sway the decision for users who prioritize aesthetics or require additional storage capacity.
