X800XT w/ Zalman on K8N Neo2 w/ Zalman

I have an MSI K8N Neo2 motherboard. I replaced the NB HSF with a Zalman passive heatsink (see pic). http://battleoftustin.com/IMG_3419%20(Small).JPG Looking at where the heatsink sits on my AIW9600 compared to the AGP interface and the NB heatsink, I would guess an AIWX800XT equiped with a Zalman HS...

Well, I don't know how much noise it adds or how much it messes up the air flow... See those stupid little blue fan mounts. Yeah, you know the ones... EAR. Well I spent good money buying a few sets of these only to find out they are completely useless in my Sonata. I couldn't get them to work on my ...

I have done some upgrades... It's been a while since I have posted so let me bring you up to date with 14 pictures. I am now using Nexus 120s undervolted. I put my Tt fan back on the heatsink and ditched the ducting mod. I get better temps for some reason this way (can't figure out why). I know the ...

Okay, awsome case, no doubt. Now for my questions... 1) The black one looks cool and I love you guys at SPCR and all but... is the SPCR badge easily removable? I like a very flat/plain look. 2) What about HDD suspension? Is there any hidden design if you remove an HDD cage to set up some elastic? 3)...

Awsome! Just a few points/opinions... 1) I'd paint your mesh intake grill black 2) I'd paint the optical drive's tray bezels black too (so each drive is black/blue) 3) Get some C-channel trim around that back exhaust fan cut out 4) Replace the Cooler Master fan with a Clear Blue Yate Loon 5) Give th...

Well, I noticed that the OC'd 6800 Ultra from BFG was listed. Here is my opinion on that: 1) It is not passively cooled (water cooling is active cooling). 2) If we are just making a list of vga cards that can be operated "fanless" then you can put a water block on any card for the most part. 3) Even...

I bought some fan isolators from Silicon Acoustics. I have a Sonata enclosure. Let me tell you. These isolators are completely worthless to a Sonata owner if you are not willing to enlarge your holes. They will not fit in the holes that are pre-drilled in the case. I ripped 2 of these isolators tryi...

Lookin' good so far. You don't want to use those snap-in things for fans. You know, the purple plastic... Get some fan isolators and mount those fans that way. That will cut down on vibration resonance. Suspending your hard drive will cut down on the most vibration. Here is a thread of hdd suspensio...
