I know members here...me included (id like to think)...have a sensible view on psu requirements..."1000w+ psu" is a swear word  . But i would have suggested a higher watt psu...maybe a 600-800w. In most cases psu's are most efficient at 50% load. I just think 500w is cutting to close to th...

Assuming ALL components (CPU, GPU, chipset, HDD) will we properly cooled, how much heat can one 500 rpm SSS throw out of the case? you can calculate it from the heat transfer equation: http://www.comairrotron.com/high_altitude_cooling.shtml CFM = Q /(Cp * r * DT) rearrange the equation then you can...

It looks like the 800rpm slipstream fan can only be bought from the US. I've found them for $7.99 at jab-tech and shipping costs $34. This means I can get three 800rpm slipstreams for the case and one 1200rpm for the heatsink for about £33. Is this worth it considering noctua's are about £13 each...

When it comes to electric cars, or even hybrids, nobody is talking about exposure to strong magnetic fields. Re: acrylic cases
I suppose that a big potential problem would be heat, since steel and aluminum cases act as giant heatsinks... generally, a negligible amount of heat is lost through the case walls. i would say upwards of 90% of the heat is carried away by the forced air cooling. so i wouldn't expect an acrylic cas...
