I think it's coil whine but I'm not sure where from now. I have a unmodded Antec TP-II 480 Blue PSU and a ASUS A7N8X motherboard. Also I use the Sunbeam 5-1/4" Rheobus Kit to undervolt my cpu and case fan. The Scythe quiet drive is suspended as well. Actually, I think it's related to the PSU because...

high pitch noise
How can I locate this problem?... After changing out the heatsinks and the psu in my system plus using the Scythe quiet drive, there is a high pitch noise emitting from my case (not the lcd monitor since it's still there when I turn that off). Also I found that when I'm in photoshop and I click and ...

Anyone have experience with the FM series of silverstone? They are made to be undervolted since they have a range of 1800rpm to 3800rpm for the 92mm fan (currently looking for a fan for my si-97a). http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-fm91.htm

Looks like they incorporated it on one of their heatsinks and it's pretty cheap too. http://www.arctic-cooling.com/cpu2.php? ... ta=1&disc=

Can you give me a sneak-peek on the Scythe 80mm fan versus Nexus? The reason I'm asking is I need to buy a pair of 80mm fans in the near future. and if the Scythe turns out to be better than the Nexus... -Derek Right, these last 2 reviews are way out of mosts people's price range... and the recomme...

Hi I just got this psu too and I was wondering has anyone run into any overheating issues when using 2 L1a panaflos? Since the sinks were small I was thinking about using the M version. Also what is a good place to buy these 2 fans from since I've read that the quality of these fans have gone down. ...

I'm thinking about getting the 939Dual-SATA2 too but the only thing that is stopping me is that the power cable is right behind where the cpu+hsf will be. 1st I think that the ultra x-connect cable's are stiff from some people's reviews so it might be dangerous bending the cable back that far. 2nd w...

I have a 200gb PATA 7200.7 that says it was made in singapore but uses the 3.01 firmware and it's data code is 04351. It makes a high pitch whine and I can here it seek when my computer is idle. I power it on the same line as my video card and it is hard mounted. Could the hard drive just be a bad s...

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this specific unit. Does anyone have any experience with it? I plan to put in the passive gigabyte 6600gt, 3200 venice, samsung sata HD, and a short dvd burner drive (Lite-On and Sony (any others?)). I'm still deciding on ram.. Also I'd swap the fan...

I posted this after 3 days of going over this site... but it's a huge site and I was overwhelmed with the information contained here. Some information wasn't in the recommendation's section like the carving rubber technique that is said to kill the high pitched whine in old hard drives (which I am s...

Well I don't need a new system in my opinion just yet since what I have now runs quick enough. Plus I'm waiting for a standard issue of windows 64 to come out. Also if I were to get a new system I would get a card with a passive heat sink included (like the 6600gt gigabyte). So actually I'm thinking...

My video card is actually making vibrating noise when ramping up so I have decided to replace the heatsink and fan with an aftermarket one. I'm trying to decide on either get the NV SILENCER 3 or the Zalman VF700-AlCu. I think I'm leaning more towards the zalman because (correct me if I'm wrong) qui...

I doubt the ram sinks are needed but do you have a pic of something similar to that duct your talking about? Oh and also bfg's customer support told me the max Wattage under load is 56-watts. Would this be comparable to a motherboards northbridge? The Zalman ZM50-HP looks promising [url]http://www.d...
