A new power supply
I have a 50 dollar store credit to www.heatsinkfactory.com but I don't need any heatsinks, so I think I am going to replace my Antec true power 2.0. I can't decide between the Seasonic s12 430 and the 500 watt.
Is 430 watts enough for this? or should i go for the 500

VGA card problems
My system has been crashing recently. It usually crashes once or twice a day. It all started happening when i used a thermalright hr-01 cooler, but the motherboard components were getting too hot. I switched to an SI-120 with a nexus fan and that dropped my temps about 15 degrees. I don't think this...

Backing up 3 hard drives
I have 3 computers in my house and I woud like to back them up with an external hard drive. Are the seagate pushbutton drives and the maxtor one touch drives able to back up more than one computer.
Also, would it be possible to put a drive on my network that would back up all of the hard drives?

You could use an Arctic Cooling Accelero X1. It works with SLI. I have one running on onmy eVGA 7800gt. It's .4 sone and the silencer is .9 sone so it should be quieter. My only concern is that it blows the hot air onto the motherboard. http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=91 The Accelero X1 i...

Zalman hp-80d on 7800gt?
Would the zalman hp-80d be able to cool my eVGA 7800gt card? My guitar teacher decided to get one for his card, but then decided to just replace the card entirely, and he offered to give the zm80d to me. I currently have the accelero x1 on it, and I'd like it to be a little quiter. I remember readin...

I just finished moving my pentium D 830 system from a crappy kingwin to the p180. I also switched from the stock cooler to the thermalrigh SI-120. It's great. My idle temps before were around 55-60, and now it is 38. I have 3 nexus fans in the case running at 12v. I have a lot of work right now but ...

Has anyone bought one of these? What attachment hardware comes with it? Yeah here's a thread that someone made about the HR-05. They also posted pictures of it installed with the Scythe Ninja. http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?t=29508 here's the picture. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/...

I think the thermal diode is fine (unless mine is bad too). I have an 830 too and those temps seem to be about the same as mine. It's usually around 58ºC Did you consider the thermalright HR-05 for your northbridge? That seems like it would cool better (I haven't ready any reviews or anything so i h...

although the extremely high temperature of that heat sink indicates that the stock thermal goo is pretty efficient. It's the silver one that says like fanless, no moving parts, ect. right? How hot does it get. My p5nd2-sli deluxe has the same heatsink and it doesn't feel hot at all. It might be bec...

That Thermalright xp-120/si-120 doesn't seem to be compatible with my socket? Anyway, honestly, maybe it has some good performance, but it doesn't "look" that impressive... I think I'm gonna end up going with the Ninja and some ducting They are compatible with the LGA 775 socket, but you need to bu...

Actually I did put Arctic Silver 5 on the NB; I forgot to mention it in the article. When I did that, the HS temperature went up at least 5C (from hot to very hot); clearly the stock compound wasn't transferring heat very well. Did you put Arctic Silver 5 on the VRMs too? Or is that even possible? ...

I run my computer without the side panel too. When the side panel is on, the motherboard temperature gets so hot that the cpu fan on my pentium D 830 spins too fast and it gets too noisy. It is quieter with the case off. Hopefully when I switch to my new p180 I will be able to run it with the side p...

This turned out to be significant, because when I mounted its fan blowing down, the air leaving the fins was so hot it actually increased the motherboard temperature. I also tried blowing up through the fins, hoping this would suck air through the motherboard heatsinks, but that only worked when th...

Thanks. I was reading some reviews and although the xp-120 has more surface area, it only cools about 1ºC better than the sp-120. With a customized LGA 775 adapter kit, XP-120 is designed to fit all socket T (LGA775) motherboard. So far, we have not found any board that is not compatible with XP-120...
