Re: P183 or R3
P183v3 front USB3 port is just a route back to your motherboard ecternal USB3 port. Irreponsible design from antec. This ain't a problem any more as long as your motherboard has an internal header for front USB3.0. Just buy a USB3.0 header to normal USB3.0 connection. Connect to the Antec USB3.0 ca...

Re: Zotac mini-ITX Z68 motherboard
Just another phantomware. When Zotac first annouced it, release date was mid July.
Given the delay and the 'reputation' of Zotac's ITX motherboards and support, this is probably going to be a big flop.

Thanks for the pointers!

Mini ITX or Mini uATX case with 3x 5.25" bays
How come it is so hard to find one of those Mini ITX/uATX cases with at 3x 5.25" bays for hot swap enclosure? Must they design 6 internal 3.25" drive bays in a mini tower case and yet expect a complete system shutdown to remove/replace one of the drives? At least their design intention is for home/m...

Why use a gigantic 650W PSU when you are running basically a barebone computer?
Any why not use the Z68 chipset instead? SSD Caching is pretty nice.

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II
Yep I use the 3 bays of the HD cages all the time in my current machine. The other bay is left open to make it easier for my video card to breathe. But I don't need any gigantic gaming cards in my solo, it's supposed to be a quiet gaming machine in the first place. I never wanted it to fit bigger c...

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II
I dunno -- the main complaints I remember hearing about the Solo is it doesn't fit the larger video cards and it only had 92mm front fans. Both of these are answered. Has anybody used all the HD cages, or all the soft suspension bays on the Solo? The motherboard cutout helps with changing a heatsin...

Re: USB3 at front of Antec P183?
what i dont understand is why motherboard manufactures didnt just slap a type-a usb3 socket or two on the motherboard internally. it seems like it'd take up less space than what ive seen of the header. its not like putting an internal socket on a board is a new idea either, you see it a lot on serv...

Re: USB3 at front of Antec P183?
Eh p183v3 has an incomptent implimentation of usb 3 - you need to wire a connector to the back panel ports instead of motherboard. A ridiculously half ass attempt of an p183 revision. That's because the P183 V3 was released before the USB3 internal header standard was finalised/released. Or, if it ...

The farkturds at antec completely cheap out on the p183v3 front panel. Disappointed. Yeah, they should've known 5 years ago what the USB3 specs will be and make connectors for that! But seriously, they should just get a new revision, that's all. Eh p183v3 has an incomptent implimentation of usb 3 -...

Purely on faster dust build up on harder to clean case. Re: micro ATX advantage?
I'm torn between the getting a ATX case and a micro ATX case. Besides being a little less expensive are there airflow or other advantages to a smaller case? Yes. You will be limited to neutered mATX motherboards and sometimes half height CPU coolers. Neutered my ass. Unless it's a 3- or 4-way SLI o...
