I wonder if drivers for PowerPlay are working with those first cards. Idle power in many reviews is higher as with GT240 and lower than 4670. Acording to Xbits 4670 has bit lower idle running compared to GT240. I guess time to sit back, drink tea and wait one month before making judgement. I hope SP...

This card was rumored last monht, it's without power connector. From design point of view, I'd rather see that HS goes to the back of the card, something like HR03. I think this is better for most cases of passive use, as the heat goes up and does not hang below the card. More interesting to me is s...

Bit off topic: ... I had nvidia once ... but 2D picture was soo bad ... warranty is not everything... I still miss Matrox. It's very likely that you will change card after 2 years anyway. What is important for silent PC users: - sharp 2D image - low idle running - possible passive cooling - etc. - t...

Looks very promising! Even more can be expected from another model: The PowerColor Go! Green HD 5750: http://www.guru3d.com/news/powercolor-green-edition-radeon-hd-5750/ It will be interesting to see how they take care of power consumtion at load. 85W is too much for cards without any extra power so...

I'm using SQD2.5 inside SQD3.5 for about 2 years now! Yes, I know - it's too much for average PC - but I wanted ultimate silence. I have enclousures on bottom of PC where is almost no airflow, but HDDs still stay in idle at about 30 - 33 degC and load about 45 degC. Better than my notebook, where HD...

You are starting to change topic here... ... and there is no final answer to which monitor suits who. Some people stick with CRT's until they don't explode - like mine (after 9 years). :( But then they ussualy buy new LCD. Btw, IPS is not best of the best. Things change all the time. I'd vote for S-...

@Lawrence Lee: I'd suggest, that you start to pay more attention in reviews to the fact if Powerplay is enabled and functional. SPCR review of 4670 started a lot of buzz, but no user could repeat the magic low power consumption. I start to belive that ATI/AMD is cheating with review samples. Back to...

Of course memory frequency, did you set your card in 2D mode to 165MHz/250 Mhz @0.9V? I got reply from Gigabyte support. I was asking if the card can go to 0.9V in idle, they said: 'Thank you for supporting GIGABYTE products. As to the question you asked, yes, GV-R467D3-512I VGA card will automatica...

maf718: One question for you. Did you mod your Bios with RBE, to lower mem. frekv in idle? Did your power consumption improve? Also did your power consumption change, when you changed the fan? I'm starting to think, that about 9W AC or 10-11W DC is the max any 4670 card can do. The SPCR review might...

I noticed on MSI 4670 page, that MSI is boasting to have:
- Low standby power consumption
- Maximum Power Efficiency with ATI PowerPlayâ„¢ Technology

Has someone MSI 4670 card and can verify voltage drop?
