Re: 5dBA 120mm Fan.
man, these statistics reminds me of how one of my friend works. if you want to be that anal, you need to consider that any testing isn't done in a vacuum. so beside motor noise, you have wind resistance and impedance. the fact of the matter, is that even if you did, your actual pc doesn't run in a v...

Power requirement (300W)
Hey,
I have a computer with the following specs:
Intel E5200
2GB Ram
WD 3200AAKS
Integrated graphics (G33\G31 intel express chipset)
mobo: Gigabyte G31M-52C
it is currently powered with a generic 500W PSU.
I have a Zalman 300W PSU.
would this setup work well with the 300W?
thanks.
Dan.

i didn't mean anything against the Lenvo. i pointed out that the Samsung is only 1" bigger then the Lenvo but he take 10W more then the lenvo. and i added that the samsungs' problem, beside the Wattage, is the frame itself! i don't understand power consumption, but the visuals - which the sasung lac...

update: connected the rear fan to the sys_fan. apparently, the sys_fan gives out ~5v! so if i put a LNA it doesn't work (it lowers the v. to much). so i connected the s-flex 1200 directly to it and it spins at ~700rpm. I connected the forward noctua 1200 fan with the LNA so it spins at 900-1000rpm t...

Hey ppl, i got a Gigabyte poseiden case which i want to remove the rear fan to connect it with noctua silicon connecters. my current fan that i want to remove is a scythe s-flex. the case has some weird plastic connectors not normal screws. i think it's the same in each gigabyte case so if anyone ha...

so i got the noctua. now my mobo doesn't work in the sys_fan header, it just start spinning the fan backwards and forwards like a centimeter. what can the problem be? beside that connecting a scythe s-flex 1200 to the ULNA (5v) cable to the cpu_fan made the fan not start exactly when the computer st...

i have a general question. as many PSUs have different wattage variations in the same model. can you give a bit of details on the differences between them? i don't mean having the same test on all variations, but maybe just general info as to when each var' starts spinning fast on load. maybe it jus...

i wold like to clarify myself: although this is site meant for "silent PCs", the ranking shouldn't (and isn't) just about noise (which is subjective and random as any user here knows) - it includes quality of built and power consumption etc. those can be ranked and shouldn't be neglected. in any cas...

i'm sorry, i don't like the new layout. it has a major flaws for my opinion: the ranking system is missing . Bring that back please. How are we supposed to know which one is quieter? Without reading through all the reviews again... I go to http://www.silentpcreview.com/section10.html look for the n...

i'm sorry, i don't like the new layout. it has a major flaws for my opinion: the ranking system is missing. i find the new SPCR recommend a nice addition - editor's choice and SPCR rec'. but it isn't enough detailed. you can go into the review and get to check the audio test, but it isn't very conve...
