Sorry, that's complete BS you are posting here. You don't need a 450W PSU to run a normal system with a 3870 - even most high-end systems stay well below 300W power consumption most or all the time. Fred, I would highly recommend sticking to the manufacturers recommended PSU size. The box says it needs 30amps on the 12v. It will be able to support any type of display you have. I just got one of these cards and unfortunately the heatpipes are soldered on. Great card though.
