Nofan CR-80EH : smaller, cheaper fanless from Nofan
80W cooling 155mm diameter 113mm tall News reports at FanlessTech and TechPowerUp . Nofan website (but they don't have the new cooler shown yet.) I really want one of these! Nofans big coolers look awesome but they're just too much to fit any cases I own. This new one can work in µATX and maybe eve...

Re: New passive CPU cooler, at CES 2013
I saw that earlier and wasn't impressed by Bit-tech's effort. It looks like yet another failure to understand the fanless product, it's not for i7 2600Ks and overclocking, and not for comparing with Silver Arrows, NH-D14s and Megahalems etc. I think an ideal review roundup of fanless would include: ...

Deepcool passive cooler at Cebit 2013 (5th-9th March)
Fanlesstech via Cowcotland. Looks interesting, similar to the Silverstone HE02 but maybe a little more compact? difficult to estimate from the photo.

New final spec details from Fanlesstech: http://www.fanlesstech.com/2013/02/zalm ... specs.html
usefully it has a decent looking offset, so the size might not be so difficult to accomodate:10 x 6 mm heatpipes
156 × 156 ×157 mm

pretty much kills my interest in this one (I use µATX and mini-ITX so even 140mm wide coolers are a PITA, 150mm would be impossible to deal with)

Re: Passive house ventilation with computer fans
Those fans look like they are even smaller diameter I don't know about the dimensions for the trickle fan I linked before, but yes the diameter of the domestic extractor fans tends to be surprisingly small, 100mm-150mm, but I don't think that's the important thing for driving air through ducts. N.B...

Re: Passive house ventilation with computer fans
I know nothing about passive houses, but this looks interesting. My first thought is what lengths are the ducts going to be? I'm a bit sceptical that a 120x25mm deep fan is going to do what you need, extract fans are a lot deeper e.g. 100x150mm (longer than the diameter.) I fitted one approximately ...

Thanks for the review, interesting stuff. Can you clarify in the passive test section, you write: For our passive test... ...the horizontal orientation of our test platform. Prolimatech MK-26 graphics card heatsink
This isn't on Prolimatech's website yet, but it appears to be released and available to buy:
The specs say that this heatsink can accodate two 120mm or two 140mm fans! Potential for GTX 670/680 to be quieter than the Asus Direct CU II or Gainward Phantoms?

Lian Li 300W SFX PSU noise? fan size & RPM range?
Lian li are bundling a 300W SFX PSU with a few of their latest range of mini ITX cases. I suppose it makes sense for some of the case designs, but mostly I'm against using these PSUs as they're neither silent or power efficient (90W-150W picoPSU & power brick seems better fit for a lot of non-gaming...

I really like this case and wanted to use it for a couple of builds, but it looks like it's only being sold with the 300W SFX power supply. If Lian Li lose the PSU and make it easy to use picoPSU (or similar) instead, then there should be plenty of space to put a reasonable size cooler in there and ...
