Need help figuring out airflow in my LC17
I'm a little concerned with the temperatures in my LC17 and I suspect that my airflow isn't even close to optimal. Right now speedfan shows the temperatures as Ambient 42 NB 49 Video 57 Core0/1 ~40 All my fans are pushing ~1000RPM except my CPU fan which is at 1500. They are controlled by the mother...

Very interesting. I have that side hole closed up at the moment so my airflow is explicitly directed out the back. It's not really working as well as I'd hoped though or I am just plain lacking airflow since my ambient temperatures seem a little high. I wonder if it would be worth mounting a fan to ...

Speedfan sensor information?
Is there any way to determine which sensors are which in terms of SpeedFan reporting? I'm running an Asus P5N-E, and I have the following output: - Temp1 - Temp2 - Temp3 - Temp - Temp1 - Core 0 - Core 1 I know "Temp" is my GPU and Core 0 and 1 are self explanatory, however I have two Temp1s, and I'm...

Cooling Q6600 in an LC17 case, height limited :(
I'm in a bit of a space crunch. Right now I'm cooling a C2D 2.4 (I've forgotten the specific model) with a TT MaxOrb. Two things are going to happen: I'm about to upgrade to a Q6600 C2Q, and I'd like to switch the MaxOrb with something quieter. Unfortunately the LC17 HTPC case I'm in is limiting me ...

Machine I'm building, an LC17 case sporting a C2D 2.4. All fans have been replaced with Arctic Cooling "8PWM" units. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i227/dcsmrgun/htpc01.jpg and the two drives in the new suspension rig I put together today: http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i227/dcsmrgun/htpc02.jp...

Will bungie cord tension affect noise?
I'm trying to mount three disks in my LC17 and my vertical clearance leaves something to be desired. Thus I need to keep my bungie cord rather tight to achieve any reasonable amount of clearance. What is everyone's opinion on tightness affecting noise decoupling? I'm afraid that the more rigid it is...
