I would like to know whether there is a difference in the level of noise insulation between a vented or unvented case. Please note - I refer only to the side vents on the side panel - with all things being equal concerning the open or closed design of the front of the case. Take two classic examples...

I am planning to invest in the Sparkle 9600 GT (Passive). It's heatsink is situated on the top of the card, rather than the bottom like almost all others, and so this will aid overall case ventilation far more.
