Re: Corsair 275Q
Could this case with the front panel removed outperform the Meshify C if you're going for the "Good airflow so you can keep the fan RPMs low" silencing approach? Since there's no shroud like the non removable one on the Meshify C you can have a 3rd bottom front fan thats providing airflow to the cas...

Re: MSI 270x HAWK - a silent gpu for gamers
If your budget will allow I think you will be happier with the MSI Twin Frozr IV GTX 670. It is 270 instead of 230 for the MSI Hawk r9 270x but you also get assassins creed black flag and splinter cell blacklist with the gtx 670. If you look at it this way, MSI hawk r9 270x (230) + Assassins creed ...

Re: MSI 270x HAWK - a silent gpu for gamers
Not necessarily: TPU -- MSI R9 280X GAMING 3 GB Well the 280X also produces more heat overall. I was mainly wondering whether the Gaming edition would always be quieter than respective Hawk/Lightning edition for the same GPU. At least from the example in the links I posted, it would seem so. If it ...

Re: MSI 270x HAWK - a silent gpu for gamers
MSI's Gamer edition has a quieter fan profile than the Hawk. Do you think it's pretty guaranteed that the 270X Gamer edition will be quieter? It's also 30$ cheaper which doesn't hurt... I tended to have a pretty bad experience in the past with cards that haven't yet been vetted by SPCR or Techpower...

Re: Galaxy GTX Hall of Fame?
I also had Galaxy GTX580 and came with Artic Cooling Accelero III from factory a nice silver backplate and frontplate that cover all the vram and motets, really nice card, had such a good experience that decided to go with stock galaxy gtx780 (no custom coolers were out) and bought Artic Cooling Ac...

Galaxy GTX Hall of Fame?
Does anyone have any experience with the Galaxy Hall of Fame series of cards? I'm trying to purchase a decently silent GTX 770 (or equivalent from AMD ie 7970 GE) and I'm not too particularly keen on installing my own aftermarket cooler. My previous card was the Galaxy 580 with the Arctic Accelero s...

Re: Antec 280 OMG!
Does anyone know if the release of the P280 will result in the phasing out/discontinuation of the P183/future P18x models?

Thanks for the input guys! Guess I'll be keeping the front door closed. One last small question: Do you guys know if I'll have enough clearance to completely close the front door on a p183 if I install a fan controller like one of these? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681199806...

P183/Solo front intake
Sorry if this is an incredibly idiotic question, but it's been bothering me for a while. I'm under the assumption that installing a front intake and a rear exhaust will be better acoustically in the P183 due to the louder top vent. I was wondering though, does the front door need to be opened in ord...
