theres no difference in the cables.
that doesn't stop some companies from charging more for a label with a 6 instead of a 3 though.

Re: Heatsink Dilemma!
The suggestion to replace my RAM seems rather superfluous, as the nh-c14 would seem to have enough clearance for the Dominator and the Ripjaw and Mushkin seem to have heatspreaders and be equally as high, so I presume you're just trying to get the economy going again by encouraging me to spend mone...

Thermalright Venomous X RT2 Silent Edition
figured i'd post this, as the venomous-x doesnt get a lot of love. [product page] i think its a pretty interesting product by thermalright. theyve taken their venomous-x rt, and switched to two ~600rpm FDB fans from the single ~1300 rpm FDB fan that ship with the standard version. the fin spacing on...

other than whats been mentioned, the lian li pc-a04 looks like it might be worth considering.
lian li also has a few htpc cases, but they're very very pricey.

forgot to post this last week when i saw it. click through for product page. ive seen similar adapters in the past for usb2.0 headers. it makes sense for them to start showing up now, with the front panel usb cabling situation thats been happening to all the manufacturers. http://www.lian-li.com/v2/...

well i took a quick peek about the web, and the Lian Li PC-9F can be had on amazon uk for a fair bit of cash. honestly it seems like your cheapest option might be to get it from germany. it seems like it'd save a solid £25-30 over amazon's prices. get the case you want, because thats what you end up...

Re: Case madness, please help
ddr3 memory wont need more cooling than incidental airflow unless you're running it at obscene speeds. any ram with heat spreaders is enough(or even ram without, since youre using a down draft cooler). the vengeance ram is ridiculously overkill. that ax850 might be enough to power three of your syst...

corsair a50.
nothing thermaltake makes should be seriously considered, and you really dont need a cooler with two fans.

you can plug 3pin fans directly into 4pin fan headers. they're keyed, so you can only plug them in one way, no mistakes will be made. What happens when you plug a 3 pin non-PWM fan into a 4 pin header intended for a PWM fan? Generally speaking, it depends of the board firmware: most MSI and ASUS ma...

i love the looks of this. for what it is, its managed to stay very subtle and understated. that psu looks like its a short 1u unit, in which case FSP makes a 120w psu that looks like it'd fit. combine that with a fan swap, and maybe a sheet of the 3 layer acoustipack and we'll be getting a bit close...

I figure on only being able to use one fan (only one CPU fan header on this MB that I can see) that cooler should come with a little adapter to allow you to plug both fans into the same motherboard header. I think the fan is 3-pin and the header is 4-pin. What kinds of problems would that present? ...

Does the HD3000/4200/4250/NV7025 properly support 24p? does your hdtv support it? probably, since youre interested, right? within CCC, with a 1920x1080 screen connected, select the 23Hz option, NOT 24Hz. 23Hz is amd's abbreviation for 23.976. this should work with the integrated 4200 series and up....
