MSI claims it's idle under 60C. Seems to be confirmed by some customer reviews I skimmed.

Re: GTX 1060 Compilation Thread
It's worth mentioning that MSI does NOT equip the GTX-1060 Gaming with double-ball fan bearings as they do its higher-tier counterparts...

Re: Request to SPCR Plz Review: MSI TriFrozr Lightning gtx 7
Really come down to the games you going to play, for example most of the my days is League of legends, even under all at high, 2560x1440, my GTX780 is at 50% load, 32C max temps, so i could be with GTX760 and still be fine at full, but other games like BF3 take more, still not enough to justify my ...

Re: Quietest GTX 650 Ti
I am interested in buying the Asus GTX 650 Ti Boost, GTX650TiB-DC2-2GD5. This is basically the regular clock ver. of the GTX 650 Ti Boost. I have an MSI TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 660 and have been extremely impressed thus far. It is silent when idle and during load. MSI makes a GTX 650 Ti Boost using ...

Re: HD 7850 reviews
I don't have any laboratory measurements to show, but lot of people are saying they are getting same high gpu temps and fan speeds with Furmark stress test and with W2 ubersampling enabled. W2 isn't cpu limited or memory bandwith limited, just raw GPU processing with ubersampling, and power draw is...

Re: Any midrange graphics cards quiet when idle?
I think the GTX 650 will perform better for SC II than the HD 7750 for similar $'s. It'll also use less idle power with 2 monitors ....most of the AMD cards with GDDR5 RAM don't idle the memory clock when there is more than one monitor connected. Hi Steve, The figures from those charts are striking...

Re: high end silent case
When I think about all the cases that have come through here over the past couple of years, the one that stands out most -- from a functional, silent-featured viewpoint -- is the NZXT H2 http://www.silentpcreview.com/nzxt-h2. Like the Fractal and many other "silent" oriented case, it is a P180 take...

Re: FSP Aurum Gold 400 experiences?
I've had an Aurum 400w for a while -- perhaps 6 months or so -- and have not noticed any noise from it at all. Definitely no audible coil whine or buzzing, as that would drive me nuts. My build does have very modest power requirements, so it's possible a more taxing load would produce disturbing noi...

New coolers from Enermax
Enermax has some new coolers entering the market that might be of interest to SPCR readers: http://www.ecomastertek.com/cooler_ets-t40-tb.php While I don't buy the hype anymore than the rest of you, it might be a good value at ~ $30 (I found it for that price online before shipping). Here's a brief ...

Re: Basic question re Motherboard power connectors
This reply is probably too late to be of any assistance to the original poster, but I've been using the Seasonic S12II-380 380W power supply you referenced with an H67 motherboard and i7-2600 CPU and the system has been running very smoothly (and quietly -- at least by my standards). My motherboard*...

Re: Fortron Source Aurum GOLD series 400-700w review
FSP had been offering them from Amazon for prepurchase (supposedly shipping March 16th). The 400 watt unit was $80 + $4 shipping. I was tempted, but didn't bite...
