Re: Dell RM112 235W 80+ Gold PSU
My adapter worked - there's a couple of changes needed to the pinouts to go from the Dell 24-pin miniATX to a standard 24-pin ATX. I used the ebay adapter as the base, then removed all the pins from the miniATX connector using a jewellers screwdriver. The Dell colours are close to stock. Red = +5V O...

Re: Dell RM112 235W 80+ Gold PSU
I just picked up a couple of the L255EM-01 Dell 255W gold 80-plus PSU's and they also have the same mini-ATX connector. I found a pinout for the dell mini-ATX connector here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/286257-28-optiplex-minitower-heatsink-blocking-pcie-video-card It's this: -----------------...

Re: Adventures in PSU modding: 23 watt idle i3-3220 + Radeon
oops, found this link buried in these forums: http://www.plugloadsolutions.com/80Plus ... =26&type=2
so after some ebay-picture research I now have a hit-list of PSU's to look for locally.

Re: Adventures in PSU modding:
The PSU is a Dell 255 watt 80+ gold certified, used PSU which I had to add a PCIe 12v cable for the Radeon 7790. Interesting read thanks. Do you happen to have the specific model number for the dell PSU you used? I'm building a replacement low-power home server for my aging underpowered HP microser...

Re: SFF Case for Sandy Bridge CPU?
From the ISK-100 review, there's 4cm clearance, so the NT07-1156 should fit in there on an i3 2100T. Anyone know whether there's enough space? I'm thinking if there is, I can lose the noisy 10cm fan and rely on just the 9cm cooler fan to push air over the mobo heatsinks too. Bugger.. my supplier ch...

Re: SFF Case for Sandy Bridge CPU?
http://www.mini-box.com/M350-universal-mini-itx-enclosure will take a mini-ITX Sandy Bridge build (I've done this), though the external PSU isn't ideal. The ISK-100 is a roll-your-sleeves-up-and-mod enclosure as far as I'm concerned. That seems awfully low. In the alternative you can try the SILVER...
