Re: Enermax Heatguard feature noise?

I avoided the old Enermax modu 82 and went for the Enermax Thriathlor 550W FC. It is new, still very compact (only 14cm) and with modular cables. It's pretty much silent both on idle and under load (even quieter then my old HX520W). I may be out of topic but I noticed a problem with my new PSU: the ...

Enermax Heatguard feature noise?

Hi, I am considering a Enermax Modu82+ 625, such PSU like most high-end Enermax PSU features HeatGuard that keep PSU fan running for 30-60 seconds after shut down to dissipate the remaining system heat and prolonging system lifetime. SPCR did not mentitioned it in their review, anyone has experience...

I am very interested I own 140mm Noiseblocker KX1 on my Lian-Li PC-Q11 http://www.blacknoise.com/en/products/it/18/Noiseblocker-NB_BlackSilentFan_140mm but on specs the NF-A14FLX seems to move more air with less rpm and noise http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=53&lng=en&set=1...

Re: Low RPM PWM Fan

I see now some come with a RPM-reducer adapter, can you suggest some of them?
They can be still controlled with motherboard PWM with a RPM reducer installed?
Thanks aagin

Mini-ITX M/B with Advanced Fan Control Advice

Hi, I'm looking to get a I5 3570 CPU and I'd like good Mini-ITX M/B Ivy or SandyBridge with advanced fan 0-100% RPM control so I can set them to start only according to temperature. I mean looking at Asus P8H67-I review (http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1200-page6.html) you have fixed minimum of...

Re: Silverstone ST45SF (SFX size) or ST50F-P (ATX Size)?

I see you mentioned the new Seasonic X-560 / X660

I only considered PSU reviewed by SPCR

do you know have if it features the great noise performance of the older review here?

Re: Silverstone ST45SF (SFX size) or ST50F-P (ATX Size)?

Actually it's a Lian Li PC-Q11, very small aluminium case with only one front 14mm fan invent.
I guess that a sort of fan at least under load to cool the PSU should make it more reliable.

Thanks!

Re: Silverstone ST45SF (SFX size) or ST50F-P (ATX Size)?

Too bad SPCR did not test it but that's what I imagined. I need somthing that could not be heard at low loads. Best choice for silent seems Nexsus NX-500 only 12cm deep but has not modular cables and they are very long by default. Enermax Modu87+ 500W 80Plus Gold is 16cm deep but has modular cables ...

Silverstone ST45SF (SFX size) or ST50F-P (ATX Size)?

Hello, I need suggestion for my silent mini-ITX build and I'm torn between 2 PSU. What is more silent between a Silverstone ST45SF (SFX size) or a ST50F-P (ATX Size)? Both are rated form Silverstone a minimum of 18 dBa but should the bigger 12mm fan be a better for noise quality compared to the smal...
