Re: Quietest dual slot GTX770?

It is probably really better to replace only the fans on the new card. A S1 plus does not seem any better than those of most aftermarket manufacturer (as standard is four heatpipes already). On my ASRock Z68 Pro3 Speed Fan was not able to control the PWM fan on the PWM chassis connector, which was m...

Re: Quietest dual slot GTX770?

Hi, thank you for your reply. I am looking for the best price/performance ratio on condition of inaudbility and a MK-26 cannot be part of this due to its high costs. Does the Accelero S1 Plus fit on a GTX 670? The more recent series of graphics card do shut off their fans in idle. Which series are t...

Re: Quietest dual slot GTX770?

Ok. Then I wait for his appearance. The question also remains how I connect two PWM fans to the connector of the graphics card and what adapter I need. On my 5870 I used a S1 plus of Accelero with a 120mm PWM fan but it was connected to my 4pin chassis fan connector and therefore I wasn't able to ke...

Re: Quietest dual slot GTX770?

The 6970 was no good, too loud and too hungry.

Do you think they optimized the fan settings with MSI afterburner?
Or is there room for eliminating the noise?
What options are left? Undervolting, reducing the standard clock frequency?

Re: Quietest dual slot GTX770?

Can the GTX770 TWIN FROZR made inaudible in idle? My system is inaudible in idle, with fans not running over 600rpm and an inaudible hdd in a hdd case.
Their review does not tell if MSI afterburner has been used.

Re: 6970 - Accelero S1 Rev 2 or S1 Plus possible?

I could get this card for 20€/$, that is why I make this considerations. It is the Sapphire HD 6970 we are talking about. https://cache.willhaben.at/mmo/8/179/314/858_-1124869597.jpg Doesn't this version have five heatpipes and so the cooling capacity is the same or even higher than those of the S1?...

Re: 6970 - Accelero S1 Rev 2 or S1 Plus possible?

Im running a 5870 card with one 120mm fan at 500 rpm on it (and the four case coolers). The Accelero S3 is recommended with a S3 turbo module for a 7970 which has a TDP of 250 watt. The design is almost the same to the S1 plus, thus providing cooling without fans for graphics card up to 135 watt com...

Re: 6970 - Accelero S1 Rev 2 or S1 Plus possible?

Does this also apply if there are 4 fans at 500 rpm in the case (front, side, top, back) and two fans at 600-700rpm onto the cooler of the graphics card?

6970 - Accelero S1 Rev 2 or S1 Plus possible?

Hi, can I run this card with either one of these coolers and 1-2 120mm fans @600-700 rpm?
