Re: Quiet Mini-ITX Gaming Build Guide #2: NCASE M1 Edition
I think this looks like a nice build and would be eager to follow it. I would be eager to include a 3,5 HDD though, considering that the WD Red are about equal on noise level as the 2,5 HDDs: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article29-page2.html When looking at this build, i get the impression that you...

Re: Help with Metis Skylake build
Thanks once again for all the help in this tread. I have now ordered and received the chassi. It does indeed look as nice as I had expected, but there are three things that i underestimated when ordering it: 1) The wood-like painting makes it hard to drill holes and then paint them black. 2) It was ...

Re: Help with Metis Skylake build
Is the difference in power consumption between GTX 960 and GTX 950 so big that using the ARCTIC Accelero S3 without some additional modding would not be enough to keep the GPU fan quiet? Might be a bit of a bother, not that the fan will spin up but that the hot air won't have anywhere to go. It's s...

Re: Help with Metis Skylake build
Thanks for all the great input lads! What are your apps / use cases? - CPU: Do you really need an i7? Do you have applications (video editing/transcoding/3D modeling..) that make use of the hyperthreading? Otherwise, I'd save the $'s. Some video editing from my GoPro camera, looking to upgrade when ...

Re: Silent MiniITX Skylake in 13.4 litres: 6400, GTX950, Nin
Thanks for quick replies and advice's lads! Finding a case that was small and would fit nicely on a table was key. HD PLEX H5 was the other one I have considered, though that turned out quite expensive everything included. My alternative consideration is that I am not sure if I really need a graphic...

Re: Silent MiniITX Skylake in 13.4 litres: 6400, GTX950, Nin
Hi Edh, Nice build, looks like you have gotten a lot out of this beautiful chassi. I would be interested to do something similar, but I really would want an internal 3,5 HDD for storage and ideally a 2,5 SSD for dual boot OS's. The 2,5 could be replaced with a M2 if needed, but the 3,5 internal stor...

Re: Fast, Silent, HDPlex H5 system - Skylake 6700 K w/heatpi
Hi Eric, Nice post, got inspired and am considering to do something similar!! Was many years since I build something last time, so a few somewhat silly questions: 1) What should I be looking for a find a GPU to fit the heat pipes? 2) Considering your post, I was considering to hold off the purchase ...
