Wrong. You continue to push these incorrect half-truths; simply because someone doesn't agree with the death penalty does not infer that they are "soft on crime." If you oppose the death penalty in all situations, then you are very soft on the worst end of crime. So either you're soft on crime, or ...

All dictators ARE scum IMHO. To me, the concentration of so much power with so little restraint in a single person's hands is so self-evidently insanely dangerous that only the most immoral of people would accept it, let alone actively seek it out. Well then, that's all the more reason to not be so...

Of course they didn't. Saddam's career alone demonstrates that By that logic, if there was a world in which only saddam commited genocide, saddam's actions would prove that whatever was different in that world didn't stop any genocides. Virtually all dictatorships ultimately fall, violently - yet t...

Exactly how was a guard present at Saddams hanging allowed to take a mobile phone into the execution room, and why were the guards taunting and verbally abusing him moments prior to his death.??? They probably picked people with lots of reason to hate saddam for all aspects of carrying out the exec...

No, bluefront didn't say why he considered killing saddam justice. Just that it was just and lawful. I would consider it more likely that it was just and unlawful than that it was lawful but unjust. If you want to call it barbaric, fine, even barbarians would have considered saddam a monster. If any...

But why concern yourself so much about saddam's execution and not about all the other executions currently scheduled? Because other people welcome the executions? Has everyone here even heard of the planned execution of five bulgarian nurses and one palestinian doctor to make them scapegoats for poo...

I disagree. Justice does not derive from law, law is an attempt to formalize and standardise justice, or at least that's what it's supposed to be in theory. Our sense of justice derives from instincts, religion, and so on. Even if it was against the law, most people would still classify punishing sa...

Until then, today's stuff is just slow, big, clunky, expensive, and few movies available for it, like everything else when it was early-adopter stuff. If you're implying that that makes such stuff not worth getting, that's quite a generalization, one friend of mine seemed to have liked his first ge...

Re: Radical rethink on green computing
I haven't yet read this thread, or much else in this forum, but... So, my question is: what could truly radical green computing be like, using current mass produced technology? Repair when possible or better yet try to avoid making repairs neccessary; making modifications to enhance something instea...

What are your sources ? From here I just don't have any reliable media speaking iraki people voice... Here 's some . Was not Hussein an administrator of justice when he killed his thousands? Saddam was an administrator of law, not everyone agrees that that's synonymous with justice. I wonder, those...

I have to spell it out for you? Godwins law is about calling those you're arguing with nazis.
Other sources you say? Very well, looks like they aren't proposing such a law after all, they're already passing it! And you have to use the thing while driving, that's f*cking hillarious.

Re: Here comes Big Mother "MADD"
First off, this entire thread should be locked on the grounds of Goodwin's Law. So you're implying someone here works for mad? 1. Nobody is proposing mandatory alcohol detection devices for all drivers. Ahem... Anyway back to the point, great idea, would love to see it on every car made from xxx ye...

They would rush to charge you less? You have very strange insurance companies in your fairy land. The way it would work here, if less people got into accidents, they'd up the rates! Cause now they wouldn't be able to as often raise the rates of the person causing the accident to pay back what they p...

I would love for this to be made law in the UK, likewise all of the cock who dont wear seatbelts should be given a £1,000 on the spt fine by passing coppers. Re: Banning Disguises In Public
So if that were turned around, you would argue that it's only fair that any woman who goes to a predominantly muslim country should show some respect, and cover her face and body and be escorted around in public, because that's the predominant custom of the country? That's insnane. Why would anyone...

They seem to have it in a few more canadian stores and nowhere else. Here they show a picture of it with a fan. Looks like it's being mislabelled silent in addition to having its ram speed axed more than any other 7600gs.

At the price they're charging for those, it would make far more sense to just get a contoured kinesys ergonomic keyboard. The right half of a normal keyboard doesn't look too bad(it's the left half that's horrible), the top row seems to be lined up fine, the bottom row not so much. If I was to use t...

The XKB Configuration Guide I guess switching layouts with a key combination would be acceptable. I briefly noticed one potential alternative for the right hand, the frogpad . Very briefly. It looks terrible, the pinky finger row is right in line with all the others and it has three keys, I dotn't ...
