If you look at this: http://products.amd.com/us-en/desktop/SideBySide.aspx?opn=ADO4000IAA5DD&opn=ADH2350IAA5DD You can see the only major difference between the 2.1ghz 4000+ and the BE-2350 is the stock voltage. So, if I can undervolt the 4000+ to 1.25V @ 2.1ghz would it be fair to say I can achiev...

@mcoleg I'm not sure what you mean by my calculations being off. If we assume the wattages you listed are correct then the numbers are corect. I mean at least the way i understand it, what you are saying in your article is: if component X has nominal power P, the power drawn from the PSU is P' - lo...

is it just me or is this written backwards? The CPU and the video card are the biggest power draws, the rest don't consume all that much. Here's what PSU draws from the wall (I am rounding up): At idle: 250W with 2A At load: 380W with 3.2A ////snipped/// But nagging doubts remained. And so, I starte...

WD5000KS and WD5000AAKS - experience + revision codes
Hi, Atm i'm looking at buying a new Hard drive, and from what i can see, pricepoint wise, 500GB seems to be the sweetspot atm [0.3 USD per GB, for prices in Romania]. Atm i'm reading all about these conflicting experiences of the 500gb sata SE16 from WD, and can't make up my mind if I want to buy it...

well it has low efficiency, it has tiny cables, it has few cables actually, and i doubt i could trust it to power my system for long load periods when i'm folding and or gaming. as for an update, i performed the PSU green black switch, and my computer is running, it is starting, only problem is i wi...

Fortron Bluestorm + epox 9nda3j - does not want to start
hey everyone, i have a problem with my computer, and i've been reading the stuff about pc's not starting up in this section, but none of the suggestions here seems to solve my problem. my system: Fortron bluestorm 400W [not quite 400W, some 385 i think] PSU with a 24 pin connector Epox 9nda3j nforce...

actually what is incredibly annoying to me personally is the fact that to this day thermalright have not figured it out that their pcb mounting bracket needs to allow the user to mount the HS in any 90 degree angle. frankly i don't see WHAT the big deal is, just make another bracket, put the same ho...

The terminals are bare wires or simply pins that u can solder wires to, depending on the L, or T ending on the part name. and i wouldn't say the fans are bad with 5 blades, i have 2 of them of 220V that run in series at 110V each and they push a lot of air even at 110V, they do make some noise airfl...

since i'm a place called - "never Nexus, never papst, never panaflo" always sunon and since i've been reading this thread i decided to go for this solution that scares a lot of people, using 220V AC fans in your PC. so i did, i ordered them from one of the stores in my country [some lost place in eu...

i'd say go for the 3200, even if u say u won't overlcock...OC for me means more performance for less money, not the races beeing done on other forums pumping 1.9V in aprocessor for 200Mhz extra. I've got a 3000+ for 1 month now, a lucky week, week 17 and i got it to 2500MHz 1:1 with corsair pc3200 r...

this rules, running on my 6600gt @ 560/1100 - AGP [if it could ever get any harder to mount a cooler]
takes 2 pci slots but 65load and 56 idle in an open case is pretty good, and chipset fan is louder than everythin else i have mounted.

6600gt AGP + A64 box cooler - only warm, not yet truly quiet
I was looking for cooling solutions [have been interested in everything from the schooner to the vm-101] when i decided to try to work with what i have..meaning a leftover A64 box HS+fan, since i'm using an Xp-90. first of all a picture of the card itself. http://www.halloweencomputers.com/~images/c...

Vm-101 + 6600gt AGP...any chance in hell?
will these two parts work together? i plan to invert the motherboard, so space behind the gpu is not a problem, what scares me more is the AGP>PCI bridge and the 45 degrees angled GPU on the card. from the vm-101 pictures i can't tell, but is there any way i can mount the heatstink as on a PCI-E boa...
