paulrb, I connected the VGA rgb component to scart RGB, no s-video. The image quality was very good. The alternative I had was composite, so there was no match. :) Since then I've heard that NVidia has some problems with interlacing, but most TV's are capable of progressive scan, so I don't think it...

paulrb: I've connected my old GeForce 256 to my tv using VGA->Scart and PowerStrip, so I don't think there's any problem using NVidias cards for that.

ddrueding1: No worries.

Dhurdahl: Yes, maybe I should mention that there are quite a lot intake holes in different places around the case anyway, so it won't be a problem.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, it's good to know what wasn't clear enough.

I think I haven't been clear enough about my mods :?: - The CPU fan sucks air from the heatsink and blow it through the new hole in the case. - There already is a duct between the heatsink and the fan, all air (almost) moved by the CPU fan has to pass the heatsink. - I couldn't possibly place a duct...

Thanks for the comments! ddrueding1: I don't undersand what you mean. The only way I see it to lower the temps for the CPU would be to lower the case temp, or getting a noisier CPU fan. I don't want to reverse it to make it an intake fan. Do you mean creating an intake-duct for the CPU aswell? That ...

Example of silencing a Pundit-R

Hi all.

I've written an article about how to silence an ASUS Pundit-R barebone.
It is located at:
http://www.ikanos.se/pundit/modding.html

As you can see I shouldn't have bought the thing in the first place, but if someone has made the same mistake I did, there's still hope! :D

Enjoy!

Silencing a ASUS Pundit-R PSU?

Hello all! I'm trying to silence my Asus Pundit-R (not an easy task!), and have come to the PSU unit. Unfortunately it uses a 80x15 fan, and I've realised they are quite rare while searching these forums. I've reversed the direction of the CPU-fan, so that it sucks air from the CPU and blows it out ...
