The purpose of getting a fan next to the PSU is to ensure PSU will not get overheat. I don't have air cond and my room will get really really hot (up to 35'C) in hottest days. Lucky temperature is fine (20 - 25'C) in this week. Machine has been keep running for 6 days fanlessly and not having any tr...

Yes i admit that is overkill to cool a VIA system. Normally i run the system fanlessly. My intention of installing 7 fans are able to control temperature of each components, and switch off when not in use. The fans just outperform my expectation. Now the system is cool enough to run games when only ...

Sorry i don't have much for reference. But personally i feel it performs as
the level of 80mm Nexus or Panaflo fans. The 4 rubber pieces extend the
fan really absorb the vibration to the case. And the best thing is it's much
cheaper ($12 AUD) than 80mm Nexus or Panaflo ($20-25 AUD out of
stock now).

Fanless system with heavy cooled gear inside
My intension of this project is to create a low power system which is cool enough to run fanless and enough power to handle most current applications. http://users.tpg.com.au/adsltrpy/C3/DSC00275.JPG Components of the machine: VIA C3 1.2A Ghz (133 * 9) Micron PC133 512MB SDRAM Gigabyte Ga6VTXE Seaga...

The quietest floppy drive i use is IBM's ultrabay 2000 floppy drive for IBM laptop. I beileve there is a usb->ultrabay2000 device for sale as well. I have got 2 Panasonic, 1 Samsung and 1 Sony desktop floppy, the interesting thing is the quietest of the four is the older Panasonic and the most noisy...

Hi alexb, Once there are air blow through your cpu heatsink, your system will be fine. Just follow scara's pic, most ppl (including me) has setup like this. With 5V for the fan, my Barton works perfectly. No need to worry too much coz you've got a good case and a really good heatsink already. Just m...

Hi paulrb, I think your system will need at least 2 fans. One for cpu and one for PSU. ThermalTake has got a Fanless Heatpipe CPU Heatsink which will draw heat from case fan but it is for P4 and A64 only. Personally i recommand you using bracket like Zalman with a 120mm fan which can blow a larger p...

Hi alexb, The zalman bracket is for holding your cpu's fan in a special way so that you can use your exsisting heatsink. And you can use the bracket for holding up to 3 fans at the same time, which is good for internal cooling. For the back if you wanna install 120mm fan you need to drill holes or u...

Hi alexb, To install 120mm fans, you need to drill holes in your case in your exsisting fan position. But because your case is expensive and quite soft (Your case is PC65USB right) Personally i recommand you zalman's fan blacket http://www.zalmanusa.com/usa/product/code_list.asp?code=016 I'm sorry i...

Hi SignoDX, Your temperature looks fine to me. Normally PSU's burning temperature is 55'C. If it has over 50'C is it in real danger. Yes you can change the fan inside with fans like Panaflo as you mention or you could change it with a fanless PSU like Antec Phantom or silverstone. Larger fan with lo...

Hi alexb, Try to find fanless heatpipe vga cooler. It is enough to cool down the card. If i am correct, Sapphire is using zalman's ZM80C-HP. If you choose for AT Silencer please be careful the vedio card you choose has follow the ATI's PCB design. Some company like ASUS are using their own PCB desig...

Hey paulrb, You can try some graphic card cooler with dual heat pipe like zalman. It should enough to cool 9600 down fanlessly. For PSU, personally i recommand Antec Phantom. Your ideal system will draw a lot power so it's better for a 350W PSU. Although you have choose for mobile version of AMD but...
