I used to have quiet audio as well.
I solved the issue by using AC3 Filter (http://ac3filter.net/project/1/releases) and all I did was open up "AC3Filter Config" menu and changed the "Preset" to "Loud".

I have a 12V DDC MCP-350 enclosed in a metal box sitting on top of layers of white foam (the white packaging foam for Antec cases). All I can say is that it is the loudest part of my rig. It could be a vibration issue with the tubing touching the case, but I'm not sure as I haven't taken the pump ou...

Way to fix video card artifacting on large black objects?
I have a x1900 GT on a Accelero S1 with a S-Flex 120mm 1200rpm fan. When I reboot the computer, during the Windows XP loading screen I get all these red dots all over the screen. If I go into paint and use the paint bucket to make everything black, red dots would be all over it as well. Even on my d...

Another comparative review. http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/cpu/intel-pentium-e2140-2160.html It seems E2xxx CPUs are really lower powered than BEs. Any idea how they measured power consumption? I did not read the article but I looked at the test bed configuration and power consumption charts. ...

Help picking a power brick for a PicoPSU wide input voltage
The PicoPSU-60-WI (80W peak) has a input voltage of 6-26V. So what about the current rating? Would a 26V 3.1A (80.6W) power brick have enough power for the 5V rail (6A Max load and 10A Peak load)? I'm not sure how the "wide input" circuit works so if anyone can enlighten me how it does that would be...

I've been wondering... They are quiet but they don't seem to move a lot of air, even on 12V If I put a tissue in front of an intake fan, it can barely hold the tissue there. If I put the tissue in front of an exhaust fan, it can barely push it enough to let the air move... and it doesn't do much be...

Re: Noctua fan NF-S12-1200
Hi My tricool fans that I currently have use a 4-pin large molex power connector. I can`t connect them to the motherboard (P5B Dlx) without using an adapter. I want to buy new fans (NF-S12-1200 from Noctua) and I'd like to know if I would need adapters for those as well, or can they connect directl...

Papst, panaflo, and high quality double ball bearing fans offer the longest life span no matter the orientation. This seems right. What I would like to know and probably many other here is if 150 000 hours MTBF (longlife) fans like Noctua and Scythe S-Flex are "long life and low noise" also when mo...

The voltage and current match so is it safe to assume they are the same fans? Probably. But on the only hand Delta makes so many fans that they could be different. I would assume they're the same. Help on replacing a pair of 40mm fans
I have a network switch with a pair of 40mm fans in there. The fans that sits in there are: Delta 40x40x20mm Model: E U B0405MD DC 5V, 0.24A They are extremely loud and I need something to replace them. The problem is I can't find the specs of the fans online. So I looked on the Delta website and se...

Any idea how the Neoprene Rubber compares to the Polymeric Mastic? I have absolutely no idea what PM is. Never heard of it. Is it a gas, liquid, or solid? :( It's a damping sheet sold at Mcmaster that I found from this link awhile back: http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10811%252...

Re: Alumin(um/ium) case damping and advice (Vinyl & Sone
First, the vinyl rubber is hard - not as good for damping as soft rubber. Take a look at page 3328 and 8583K44, which is available in 30A durometer, which is very soft. The adhesive backing is indeed very worthwhile, otherwise you're gonna go thru a fortune in super glue! I used a lot of thi...

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I've actually managed to suss it out now, and I've found a better way to remove the base off the Zalman fan that does not involve hacking the centre out. 16:9 Widescreen or 4:3 letterbox LCD?
Would I be futureproofing myself by going to 16:9 or is 4:3 going to stay for awhile?
I plan on using the LCD for mainly gaming and office applications.
I was thinking about the Viewsonic VX922 if 4:3 will last but not sure about any of the widescreen LCDs..

I don't think it needs a minimum draw on the 12V line to boot the PC if I can already turn the psu on with the paperclip trick with no load but do correct me if I'm wrong.NoiseFreeGuy wrote: Does it need a minimum draw on the 12V line to boot the PC?
