Very nice computer, its a Sparkle Calibre x580 right? Not a Gigabyte.
Btw the aftercooler is the best that you can find (Artic Accelero XTREME Plus), this graphic card is really powerfull and expensive too
Do you think that your PSU can handle a SLI of 580 or 460?

Re: Fractal Define R3 w/10 HDD
You can also use a hoover to clean filters... its quick and efficace.
For silence, good temp and low consumption, you should upgrade your hdd to Green 2Tb.
(i use to sell my old hdd and stuff on ebay, and upgrade with brand new hardware).

Very impressive computer, About the noise, on my computer , i was planing to put a Seasonic X-Series 660W, but it wasnt avalaible so i bought the Enermax PRO87+ 600W which is at the same price (almost 150$/€) and as quiet, at idle, the fan works at 300RPM, so if you are looking for a great/silent PS...

If you have a free 3.5'' space, you can buy an Scythe Kaze Q , and then control all fans.
Btw, a great computer, try CPUID HWMonitorPro for fan control.

Re: My First Desktop : A Silent Baby !
I don't ear my HDD, my OS is on my SSD (inaudible) and i use my 4 WD20EARS (i added one) for my movie/games/mp3 and they are very quiet, they are most of the time in sleepmode, but i can hardly ear the scratch of my hdd when i copy/past stuff for example. My GPU fan cover these scratch. I found a bi...

System Fan 1 & 2 are controlled by my rhéobus, and they are at minimum but CPIUD show them at 100%, its a bug. CPU fan is controlled by m...

Re: My First Desktop : A Silent Baby !
Well, you should not buy a long DDR, actually i had to move the cpu' fan a little to the top to be able to put my DDR on the first slot. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21RS6KdnqmL.jpg Btw, this cooler is fantastic, at idle, it can run at 0 RPM ( 90 RPM in fact ), and the temps is still very g...

Re: Quiet PC Plan
The MSI N460GTX CYCLONE 1GD5/OC is quiet at idle, now during gaming, it wont be a problem.
I have 3 WD20EARS and 1 SSD, i will mostly use my SSD, now if its a problem, i will think of doing something.
The only problem with the Fractal R3 is HDD noise?

Re: Quiet PC Plan
ok, so in that case, i will probably go for an :
Antec Solo + NOCTUA NF-B9 + Scythe Slip Stream - 12 cm
I will change the Antec 12cm by the SlipStream fan.
i though i would be easier to built a quiet computer, and maybe it wont be quiet at all lol.
I hope it will !!!

Noise: Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo Pro is dead silent even if you push it to its max speed. You’ll be unable to hear it over your case fan or CPU Cooler; I can bet you on this one. Due to some BIOS limitation, you can’t push fan speed over 80% but I think pushing it further isn’t needed as temperatu...
