Few things first, I dont know much about OCing because im new to it. I dont want to increase voltage, just maximize performance while leaving voltage stock. I read that they got a e4300 to 2.9 on stock voltage for everything. And that the e4300 would put less strain on the northbridge because its ru...

Man everytime I think about building a new system something comes up that makes me want to wait another month. The 320mb 8800gts is suppose to come out and be around $300. which would be better than the 1950xt for $250. <including price of zalman> Also the e4300 and e6320 are both coming out in febr...

The ds3 was on sale at newegg for a while but I missed it. Now its back to 145. <I think> I choose those boards because I wanted to overclock a decent amount and be stable and I dont want my first slot to be the PCI-E slot because id have to mod my server case to fit it. All those boards have the PC...

Wouldn`t a S12-430w run an overclocked core 2 duo and a 8800gtx or equivilant(which I will upgrade to as some time in the future)? I would never have more than 2 harddrives, probably only one. I figure that is 300w-350w tops. I wont be doing raid. I could get the S12+ 550w for 40 more but I didnt th...

the problem im having is that the p5b reportably has problems with corsair ram. The s3 has cheaper capacitors then some other boards that might fail when overclocking and I know diddly about the abit board. Which only leaves the more expensive boards. But I wont be using raid so it seems like a wast...

Which of these three look best?
Having a hard time trying to pick a mobo. Ive narrowed it down to these. Abit IB9 $110. Asus P5B $126. Gigabyte DS3 $145. Gigabyte S3 $110. Will be using Corsair 2 gigs of twinx2x2048-6400. Wanting to overclock a e6300 to 2.8 without changing voltages if possible and leaving it that way 24/7. I woul...

What Mobo are you using for your Core2Duo and why?
Just looking at all my options before I settle on one. I want to OC a e6300 to 2.8 with ddr2-800. I was considering the gigabyte 965 DS3 and gigabyte 965 S3. One supposidly has better capacitors. Who knows if this really matters? Are there any other C2D mobos that are in the $100-120 that I should c...

Difference between Western Digital KS and YS?
Just curious I was looking at 2500ks and 2500ys, or maybe even 3200ks or 3200ys. The YS seems to be a bit faster? Is this correct, they all seem to be about the same price. The website says they run the sames temps, and produce same amount of db's ect. Is there anything bad about the YS drives?

I like the gigabyte boards because the first expansion slot is empty so I dont have to mod my dell server case to make it fit. The biostar's first slot is the pci=x slot which wouldnt fit in my case. But the question remains. Is it worth the extra 30-$40 for the better capacitors in the Ds3 over the...

Yea I just want it to run good for about 3 years or so. Another question I think I will be getting either the gigabyte 965p-ds3 or s3 Aparently one has better capacitors then the other. Is it worth the extra $30-$40 to get better capacitors if Im only going for 2.8 on a e6300? I mean the cheaper cap...

New to overclocking how high will 6300 safely go?
If I wanted to overclock a e6300 c2duo and leave it overclocked 24/7 what memory would be good for cheap. Also I say I want to safely overclock which means I want this computer to last 3 years so I want to know what a good overclock to shoot for without burning everything up is? Thinking of getting ...
