Hmmm... ducting?
I thought about that when I installed it.
After seeing the temps when finished, I'm not sure how much better it will get.
Sounds like a hassle if it's only going to bring it down maybe 1 degree.
But then again, I do half my mods just to do them :) .
We'll see...

Great, now you have me all freaked out.
Oh well, what's done is done.
No shorts so far... other than the ones I'm wearing :D .
Yeah, I wouldn't recomend Dremeling it while it's already on there.
But like I said... I'm crazy.
Now I'll just have to hold my breath  and hope everything is okay.

Got a Ninja, yeah! Installing was a little trickier than the usual heat sink but not too difficult. In my particular application I had to do a little modding. On with the show! Here's the setup pre-Ninja: http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/4317/img45483gc.th.jpg Here' a comparison of my old heat sin...

Well, I got the Ninja and installed it. I had to dremel the clip also. No way around it with the Zalman VGA cooler. I took a lot of pictures and will be discribing it in more detail in my own system thread found here: http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?p=256771#256771 Thanks for all your...

Did you peel the 3M back and use the sticky surface.
I heard some people leave it on to avoid any possible shortages.

You used the Scythe back plate with a Zalman cooler?!
I'm all confused... :?
So you recomend using the scythe back plate?

How do you have 1GB ram? 1x 1024 or 2x 512? I had a motherboard that would only let me run CnQ with one dimm full. If I had two dimms full in single channel mode it wouldn't work. My current setup allows for dual channel and CnQ. So if you have more than one stick then remove all but one and see if ...

Did you leave the stock back plate on when you installed the Ninja or did you use the one Scythe provides with the heatsink? Mine should be here on Wednesday and I want to be able to slap it in with no problems. I'm sure I'm going to have to remove the motherboard to install the Ninja but I'd preffe...

You can get rid of those stiff PSU cables and make your own. That is one of the beautiful things about the OCZ ModStream. It might be hard to see from this picture but try and look: http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/6962/img22335tl.th.jpg I made a ubersmall 4 inch cable for my DVDRW. You can do likew...

Hey Bubbalobill,
Do you have a zalman fan mate?
If so, that should solve your clicking issues with that cooler.
Other than the clicks what would you say is quieter, the AC or the Zalman?
The AC must push it close to the northbridge cooler though.

Western Digital My Book Premium Edition

Just saw some of these at my local Best Buy. They look nice, but how quiet are they? They appear to be fanless, which is good. It says they have a 16MB buffer which makes me think they use the newer SATA3.0 hard drives they have been making. Those seem to be pretty quiet for a 3.5". But if these dri...

Sorbothane VS Suspension

Currently I suspend my HDD and it is dead silent. Now I know that using sorbothane is not quite as good. But I am wondering how close they are. So maybe someone with a P150 could comment on the differences in sound. Also, does anyone know where to get those sorbothane gromets that Antec puts in the ...

My biggest concern was space between the CPU heatsink and the GFX card.
Have a look at this picture:

Image

Since the CPU socket is below the memory it sits close to the GFX card.
I wasn't teribley worried about the IDEs and what have you.

Well this doesn't really matter any more since you did the swap already but... Who cares if you never reach 300W. The PSU ramps the fan voltage based off temps, not wattage. If it gets hot it ramps up! Hitting 300w will get itself hot enough to ramp up. But external heat sources can as well. Here is...
