How much power does each peripheral consume?

Post by MistaMuShu » Tue Apr 15, 2003 9:17 pm

Many sites suggest that the VIA motherboards do not consume a lot of power, but what if more peripherals are added into the system? Are there any charts or sites which reference how much power each peripheral consumes because I would love to get that 60watt PSU that's fanless but I'm worried I wouldn't be able to run the system on it. I also read the article in the PSU section of the site regarding measuring the entire consumption of a PC, and that was a very good idea, but I still wish there are some measured stats about how much power a peripheral needs.

Here are some power consumption stats that I'm currently aware of:

Since everyone's tests are on different brand equipment running different apps, of course results will vary. But hopefully it should give you some idea on how much power your particular components will likely need.
